after only a couple of more drinks, salem was drunk. on the other hand, ciarán kept his alcohol intake to a minimum so he could stay alert. he had just met this girl, but there was no way in hell he was going to let her do anything stupid.
currently, they were dancing, or at least salem was dancing, in the living room. her coordination was so off that she almost fell, but luckily, ciarán caught her in time. he put his hand on her back and pulled her close, looking around if ryan saw them.
his other arm snaked around to her waist, and he bent down to whisper in her ear.
"do you see him?" he whispered lowly.
salem looked around and accidentally made eye contact with ryan. it was this interaction that caused her to sober up.
she quickly broke eye contact.
"kiss me?" she asked.
without hesitation, ciarán brought his lips onto hers. salem hummed at the warmth he brought to her lips, and to her cheeks.
it was crazy how gentle he was with her. he placed his hand on her cheek, lightly rubbing his thumb against her cheek.
they pulled away to catch their breath. their faces were only millimeters apart, and ciarán was desperate to fill the gap again. it was as if salem had read his mind because she filled the gap once again for him.
she told herself that she wanted to make sure ryan saw them.
this time around, the kiss was slower; and the two didn't know it yet, but there was a slight hint of passion.
when they pulled away, salem giggled. "you're a better kisser than my ex."
she wrapped her arms around ciarán's neck, looking up into his pretty, blue eyes.
ciarán didn't like eye contact very much, so he looked up to find ryan.
ryan was staring daggers at him.
"do you live here?" she suddenly asked, letting out a small yawn. she continued to put her head on his chest, snuggling into it until she felt comfortable.
ciarán laughed, "i do live here. why?" he moved both of his hands to her waist, pulling her impossibly closer.
"just asking. tavia's probably gonna spend the night with matt and i can't take myself home so." she closed her eyes. the alcohol had caused her to become drowsy.
"i could take you home." he offered, but when he didn't get a response, he looked down at the sleeping girl.
"of course." he snickered.
he put one arm under her thighs and the other on her back. in one swift movement, he picked her up and carried her upstairs to his room.
he had tavia's number saved on his phone, so he texted her saying that salem was going to be spending the night in his room.
he took her shoes off for her, but ran into a dilemma when he realized she still had her makeup on.
hours of scrolling through instagram and looking at skincare threads taught him to always remove makeup before going to bed.
he went onto the trustworthy google to search up ways to remove makeup, and found out coconut oil was an easy solution.
he knew exactly who had coconut oil.
he knocked on kevin's door, hoping he wasn't already knocked out.
"hey cici," kevin smiled. "whatcha need?"
"so, um, i kinda have a girl who's spending the night, and she sorta has makeup on, so can i use some coconut oil to remove it for her?"
kevin put his hands over his heart, showing how heartwarming he thought the action was. he even let out an "aww." this only caused ciarán to roll his eyes.
"can i borrow the coconut oil? i'll give it back as soon as i'm done."
"sure." kevin disappeared into his room and later reappeared with a jar of coconut oil.
"here you go." he said, handing it to ciarán.
"thanks." he took the jar and headed back to his room, whistling some random tune as he unscrewed the lid. he got a tissue and got some coconut oil on it, gently wiping away her makeup.
she was out, so she didn't even move a muscle during the whole process.
ciarán took off the flannel he was wearing, which left him in just his white t-shirt and his blue jeans.
there was a rapid knock on the door, which made ciarán go, "what in the fu—who the hell is it?" he asked.
"is salem in there? it's ryan. i wanna talk to her."
