one last update before school officially starts again for me 😔 which is in twenty minutes. we going ✈️ down streaks
that sunday went by slowly, yet somehow quickly, for salem. she spent the rest of the day complaining about how she didn't want to go to work tomorrow, but she also spent the day re-evaluating her actions at the party the previous night.
she really shouldn't have drank so much. her actions were uncontrollable and she couldn't remember much that happened between her and ciarán.
she didn't want to admit it, but she didn't mind the thought of her being with ciarán. he had seemed so kind, and she was so attracted to him, that the thought of him made her weak at the knees.
it was stupid, really. she had met this boy just last night, and she was already head over heels for him. she should have just listened to ryan and stayed home. it would've saved her a lot of trouble.
maybe it was best she stayed away from ciarán.
meanwhile, ciarán was texting tavia.
ciarán 🐻 : where does salem work ?
tavia (matt's girl) : why u creep
ciarán 🐻 : chill i just wanna surprise ur bestie 😩
tavia (matt's girl) : u have a crush or sum ?
ciarán 🐻 : ...
ciarán 🐻 : don't tell her about this 🗿
tavia (matt's girl) : no promises bud
ciarán 🐻 : i just wanna surprise her tomorrow
tavia (matt's girl) : she works at the book store on north poplar street
ciarán 🐻 : u lying to me?
tavia (matt's girl) : ... no, why?
ciarán 🐻 : i never see her there
tavia (matt's girl) : she works second shift on mon-wed and first shift on thursday and friday
ciarán 🐻 : ... i only go there friday nights
tavia (matt's girl) : weirdo
ciarán 🐻 : but ur bestie's falling for me
tavia (matt's girl) : mhmm. well, we'll see about that
tavia walked into salem's room, singing, "i think someone has a crush on you." this only made salem roll her eyes.
she sat up, hugging her pillow. "don't even bring him up."
tavia frowned, "why not?"
"he's just been on my mind all day and i wish he would get out."
tavia put her head in salem's lap, looking up at her.
"so you have a crush on him too?"
salem shrugged. she didn't really enjoy having crushes. her feelings get the best of her and she typically ends up getting her feelings hurt.
"i literally just met him."
"yeah, but you can tell he's developing a crush on you too. you two just gotta spend more time together." tavia encouraged.
"i don't know, tav. it sounds bad, but i was using him as a fake rebound in front of ryan so he'd get jealous. i didn't expect more to come out of it." salem sunk her chin deeper into the pillow she was holding.
"tell me how you feel about him."
salem sighed, "well, i think he's fine as fuck, and he seems hella kind—"
tavia sat up, "i don't see what's wrong with getting with him then!" she exclaimed.
"tav, it's gonna take some time, and you know it." salem huffed, recalling how fast she could develop feelings.
"you have all the time in the world, babe, don't worry about it." tavia reassured.
salem smiled, "thanks for listening to my confused emotions."
"anything to get my best friend some di—"
salem glared at her, "that's not the goal."
tavia laughed, getting up.
"mhmm, sure." she said sarcastically, before leaving salem's room.
tavia (matt's girl) : she said it's gonna take some time
