The past hurts chapt.5

Emily's point of view: It was finally the weekend and I got the guts to read all the texts from Jack. I picked up my phone and started reading.

Text sent at 7:30 pm

I swear it was nothing crystal just came up on to me , I would never intentionally hurt you and I know crystal and I have a past but that is put behind me because I didn't like who I turned into when I was with her. Please talk to me

There was many more long messages but one stood out the most.

Text sent at 8:00 pm

Please meet me at the park at 4:30 tomorrow, I want to explain my past and show you I have changed and I'm ready to be in a relationship with you. I hope to see you there.💙

I don't know if I should go or not because I was always told never trust someone again after they hurt you. My mother raised me to be able to protect my own feelings from people who might affect then. I need to follow my heart and right now I feel like the right thing to do is to go and listen to what he has to say. If we are going to be together again I think I deserve to know the past.

Jack's point of view: New text message from Emily❤💁; I will see you tonight.

It was short but the important thing is that she is coming tonight. Hopefully I can make this better between us because I really like her.

Sarah's point of view: Emily just called me telling me about her meeting Jack tonight. Honestly I wish she wasn't because I saw how bad he hurt her and she actually cried which never happens.

Emily's point of view: It was 3:50 so I decided to fix my makeup up from the couple tears I shed through out the day. I grabbed my purse and drove to the park which was about 15 mins away from my house. When I got there I saw Jack sitting on a bench with flowers. I walked up and said "Hi I'm here,"

"Hi, I'm so glad you came these flowers are for you," he said while handing them to me.

I thanked him and we started to walk on the trail around the park so we could talk without dogs and little kids screaming.

"So I guess I will start with when me and crystal met," he said.

" We met sophomore year, cameron introduced us and we got really close and we decided to date. At first I really liked her but than she became really mean to everyone, she would convince me to skip school and to focus on football because she wanted to use me to get more popularity. I was stupid and I listened to her that's why I don't get good grades anymore. I later found out she was hooking up with other guys while we were dating and I decided one day to break up with her. She turned people against me and eventually I had no one to turn to. I became very sheltered from everything and I was never happy," he told me with a sincere look on his face.

"Wow I'm glad you told me that I appreciate it and I know that wasn't easy to tell me," I said wrapping my arms around him giving him a hug," i said.

It felt good knowing he was done from the past and I'm glad he reached out to me to say something that you hoped you wouldn't have to say ever again.

"Are we good Em?" he asked.

I thought for a second than said "yes,"

He walked me back to my car and I drove home with a smile on my face.

Sunday went by really slow and I spent the whole day studying although I did talk to Sarah on the phone and turns out I was right Vincent did like her and they were going out tonight. I'm so happy for her.

Sarah's point of view: Emily and Jack made up and I thought is was sweet of him to share his past with her even though I wasn't told the details. Tonight I have a date with Vincent and I hate to admit that Emily was right. I can't wait and who knows maybe we will hang out at school a lot more and possibly date.
