Emily's point of view: Today I woke up feeling stressed and sad. I am so stupid for actually thinking that I could last with a football player, I mean my mother always told me don't trust them they are just gonna break your heart. They are all the same.
I was moving slow today which meant time was going faster than usual and I only had 30 minutes.
I quickly washed my face but didn't bother to put any make up on. I slid on some leggings, Uggs and my lifeguard jacket. My dad usually likes to make the family breakfast in the morning so I never have to worry about not eating. I quickly ate and headed to pick up Sarah. When we got to school I decided to walk a different way to class and sit by a girl on my dance team so I didn't have to face Jack. Right now I just want to get through today and focus on dance rehearsals. The dance is in three days and I have to sell tickets at lunch.
First period luckily was just is reading out of a text book and taking notes so I didn't have to interact with anyone.
My next too classes we worked on projects since finals were coming up so that was nice because we work with who the teacher assigns. Lunch came around and I had to set up the ticket booth which Sarah helped me with. A lot of people were buying tickets although jack didn't. As usual he hags out with the popular kids now and I just have to accept that.
Sarah was hoping Vincent would buy tickets so they could come see me but he never showed up. Little did she know Vincent told me he wasn't moving and he bought tickets from me earlier because he wanted to surprise Sarah.Jack's point of view: I starting to get really annoyed about this deal with the football players. I just want to talk to Emily, she probably thinks I'm the biggest jerk on the planet.
In class she would act like I wasn't there and that just hurt me knowing she is angry with me. At lunch I saw her at the ticket booth and I wanted to buy one but I got pulled away by the guys.Shawn( football player): "hey two more days and your free from the deal." "Think you can handle it?"
Jack: "ya of course, there is a reason I'm captain right."
This deal is ridiculous, every year the captain had to go a week without hanging out with his friends and he has to skip class with the guys. It's been a tradition and I used to like it but now I hate it. I know Emily doesn't know because its kinda a secret at the school. She probably hates my guts.
Emily's point of view: I sold the majority of the tickets there is about 10 seats left in the back which will be sold the day of. Dress rehearsals was tonight and productions was tomorrow night. To be honest I'm scared because this is my chance for a college scout to see me dance and hopefully I can get a scholarship.
Are costumes are really cute and I'm proud of this dance. The day was long but I need to get a good sleep because tomorrow is the day.-Next day-
This morning I was nervous yet excited. I was dressed all cute in my new romper and I had my hair curled also I was waiting my new Lauren Conrad sandals.
Today I no classes with jack so that was nice I don't need any distractions. At lunch Vincent surprised Sarah telling her he wasn't leaving and when he showed her the dance production tickets her face lighted up. They are so cute together.I drove home to get my curling wand, black and tan tights and jazz shoes. On the way back to the school I got a text from jack so I decided to pull over and read it since I haven't gotten one in a week.
The message read: from Jack 💙: hey I know I havnt talked to you and I can explain it all to you I just need you to give me a chance.
After reading it I thought, what could be so important that he had to keep a secret from me I thought we were passed that.
I arrived at the backstage and unpacked my stuff at the little beauty bench I had. The show started in 30 minutes so I got dressed for the first dance. We wore tan tights and a navy blue skirt with a black sweetheart crop top. Ashley walked out on stage to introduce us and the lights dimmed meaning it was time. I saw the Academy of fine arts scouts in the front row knowing that I need to do my best tonight. the music started to play and I instantly felt the beat and begun to dance.
Jack's point of view: I texted Emily hoping she would talk to me or at least respond but I got nothing. I guess I should have expected that.
In order to make it up to her I snuck into the show even though it was sold out by the time I got there. I brought roses and just his in the back. She is an amazing dancer, she acts like no ones watching and she's just flawless.Emily's point of view: It was time for my dance and I was scared of what they would think of it. I worked so hard and I would hate for it to all go wrong.
Sarah's point if view: I am having such a great time with Vincent and watching Emily dance. I feel bad that her and jack haven't been speaking and that he didn't show up tonight.
Emily's point of view: the show ended and we stood on stage to take a bow. We got a standing ovation from the scouts which blew my mind. In the far distance I saw a figure that looked like jack. We locked eyes and it was him he was standing there with flowers. I was so confused and to happy to deny the flowers. We just stood there hugging and he said " I promise I will explain everything and make it up to you but tonight please don't worry about us I don't want you to worry. You did amazing tonight and you deserve to feel like a million bucks!"
The scouts came up to me to shake my hand and pull me aside. I was about head over heals at that point. Who knew dreams like that could come true, the offered me a scholarship to New York's Academy of Fine Arts! My friends and family celebrated with me at dinner. overall tonight was amazing but I really need to talk to jack. I pulled him aside to talk.
"Hey please explain why you blew me off for a week?"
"Sorry, have you ever heard of the players game?" he asked.
"Uh yes I have hear of it once or twice, but isn't it the thing captains are forced to do ?"
" Oh wait is that what was going on? I asked feeling stupid I forgot about that game."Ya and I feel horrible about it but I didn't want to be kicked of the team I have worked to hard for that." he said faintly.
I understood everything hd said I would probably do the same for dance.
We hugged and then he pulled away while getting something out of his pocket.
It was a promise ring.
It was beautiful!"Please accept my loyalness and trust through this ring I give you," he said as he was putting the ring on my finger.
I think my moms daily sayings aren't always right because this football player happens to be my everything.
I was sitting in bed staring at my scholarship certificate and felt so much joy, I'm truly proud of my self.
Now I need to finish high school so I can go dance everyday.
