Amy's POV:

Imagine waking up in a place you did not under any circumstances wanted to wake up in. That's exactly how I felt when I woke up in my old room, in the mountains, with a suitcase full of my stuff at the end of my bed. Freaky right. I sat up to see a chair in my old room that was never there and guess who was in it... Shadow. And after all those flashbacks I didn't want to go near him, for he looked exactly like my father. Well except for the fact he had a mouth and his fur stripes were red... But other than that...

He was asleep and I mean full out SNORING asleep. What's even weirder he was mumbling words every now and then. "Don't steal my penguin..." I almost laughed at the sight. His fur wasn't in its normal style, and it appeared to have leaves and sticks in it, he was also drooling. "No that's my chocolate..." Omg, where is my camera? Oh right, my house burnt down... No camera... Money gone... Memories destroyed... "Amy..." I looked in his direction, at first I thought he was awake, nope still asleep. Wait... He's dreaming about... Me? "Amy I..." I took a small step towards him. "I... I l...ove you..."

My eyes widened in shock. He loves me? Sure I had a hunch yesterday, but still...me? I might want to keep this to myself. I turned an exited the room, everything in the house was in the exact same spot as it was when I left. I started to exit and saw something new in the kitchen, a small amount of dust had grown but on the old table was a a letter... To Me? On the front of it in fancy scrawl clearly stated Amelia... Dark. Amelia Dark... I reached a small shaky hand towards it, as if it was the devil himself. I opened it carefully, inside was a piece of parchment. I slipped it out, and read its contents.

Prepare for the coming of Darkness.

What does that mean? I should figure out what this means before Darkness comes. I stuffed the note into the pocket of my pants. Then I finally exited the house. Towards a place only I and one other would know about. As I approached my little graveyard. I notice a bunch of leaves and debris had collected. I got on my knees and found the rocks that marked the sites of all the animals I killed when I was a child. What surprised me was the blood I used to write the names of the animals was still there. I continued to clear all of the leaves, revealing every thing I killed, including the final one my mother...

My father had tricked me into killing her... No! Don't think about it! Think of random things! Cream! Pie! Rouge! Roses! Cute little babies! Blaze, Knuckles, ice cream, Silver, Tails, soda... Whew... Sorry bout that... I have to think random things to avoid having flash backs.

I stared at her stone while tears freely streamed down my face, I didn't even bother to wipe them away. My knees gave out under me and I sobbed. I missed her so much... I felt a hand on my shoulder, I looked up to see Shadow with both sympathy and confusion. He knelt down and put a arm around my shoulders... I leaned against him the tears still streaming down my face, Why is life so hard? I looked back at him... And how did he fix his fur in under five minutes?

I pointed at the grave, "That's my Mother..." A racking sob left my body. Shadow tilted his head to the side.

"It says on the grave she died fourteen years ago... How old are you?" He said looking back at me, he didn't say it meanly but I still took it a little offensive.

"Shadow, tsk tsk, you never ask a lady her age." His cheeks reddened. "But since I know you I guess I'll tell you... She died when I was four, I barely remember anything about her, but I remember her smile... And her screams that she yelled the day she died... I'm eighteen, I ran away from here when I was six... It's my fault she's gone now... It's my fault." I was fighting any flashbacks that came, but bits and pieces voiced in my brain. But the loudest one of all was her screams as I killed her... Another sob escaped from me.

"It's not your fault Amy." He said pulling me into a hug. I pushed away from him and pushed away the last few leaves reveling the last few words: Killed by her own creation.

"No Shadow it is my fault! I killed her! I killed all these animals and her!" I indicated to the other stones. "I had a very twisted childhood. Now answer me when I say this... Do you still love me?" I got up and ran into the forest that was on the mountains. Leaving him still there on his knees staring after me mouth slightly agape. The town was wrong Shadow wasn't the monster... I am.

Sorry it's so short... I will post the comments from the last note next chapter, hopefully...
