Yenon hums to herself as she walks out of the flower shop, locking the door behind her. She was meeting up with some friends at their usual meeting place. A little sushi shop not that far away. She put her keys in her bag and turns away. Just as she starts walking, she ends up bumping into somebody. She makes a soft sound of surprise. "Oh, I'm so sorry! I didn't see you there. Are you okay?" A voice asks her. Yenon looks up to see a young man who was a bit taller than her. "Oh, no it's alright! I wasn't paying attention. I'm okay." She gives him a smile. "Oh, good. I was afraid I had hurt you. I'm glad you're alright." He smiles in relief. She laughs softly at his worry. After a second, he introduced himself. "I'm Seungmin. Sorry again for that." He says, holding out his hand. "Nice to meet you. My name is Yenon." She smiles and shakes his hand.
"Um.. can I treat you to a drink? Maybe a tea or coffee, as an apology for bumping into you?" He laughs softly. "You don't have to do that! It was just an accident. That's not necessary." Yenon tells him quickly. "No, really. It's the least I can do." Seungmin gives her a sweet smile. He was adorable. She couldn't say no to that. "Alright, sure. I still have some time before I meet up with my friends." She smiles. "Oh really? I'll walk you to that place as well, then." He smiles. "Thank you. That's so sweet of you." She gushes, while blushing softly. They exchange smiles as they walk to go get some drinks.
The ordering didn't take long. Just a couple of minutes. Seungmin ordered a smoothie and Yenon ordered a mango Boba tea. They leave the little cafe. "Our meeting place is just up the street, so it's not that far." She tells him as they walk. "Okay, cool." Seungmin smiles at her. While they walk, they just talk about anything. He asked about what she does, so she told him she goes to college and helps her parents run their flower shop. He seemed pretty interested. "So, you asked what I do. What about you?" Yenon wonders, looking at him as she takes a drink of her boba. Seungmin's mood changed slightly. He went from being happy, to being a little serious. "I uh... Specialize in trading. I'm kind of like a merchant." He says after a minute. "Wow, really? That sounds really cool!" Yenon gasps in interest. His smile returns.
Seungmin was about to say something when his phone starting ringing, cutting him off. "Just a second. Sorry." He smiles as he pulls it out. "Hello?" He answers. "Seungmin! Where the hell are you! Me and my men have been waiting here for over twenty minutes! You were supposed to be here 10 minutes ago! Where the hell have you been!" A man yells at him. Yenon stands there, drinking her boba, not hearing who was on the phone. "Crap. I got a little caught up in something. I'm on my way right now. Sorry about that!" Seungmin says and hangs up. He looks at Yenon and smiles. "I'm sorry, it was nice meeting you. But, something came up. And I have to go." He tells her. "It's alright! I appreciate that-" She was cut off as he steps away. "Sorry! I'll see you around!" Seungmin says as he runs off down the sidewalk.
She watched him leave and blinks. "Oh, okay. Bye then." She says to herself. She couldn't help but to smile. She continues walking in the direction they had been going. Yenon arrives at the sushi shop and opens the door. As she walks in, she was greeted with that familiar smell she had grown used to. She looks towards the usual table. Her two friends were already sitting down. She checked the time. Oh, good. They weren't waiting long. She walked over to them. "Yenon! You made it! We just got here before you did!" Sojin says as Yenon takes a seat. "That's good. I checked the time as I walked in. I'm glad you guys weren't waiting long." She smiles at them both. "You know we don't mind waiting for you." Yeri smiles. Yenon returns her smile.
"You guys wouldn't believe what happened to me while I was leaving." She says. "Ooh tell us!" Yeri says excitedly. "So, I bumped into this really cute guy. His name was Seungmin. He bought me this boba as an apology. And he was walking me here, but he had to go. He got a phone call and said that something came up. Then he rushed off before I could say goodbye or thank you." She explained to them. Sojin gasps and gives a big smile. "Ooohh. How cute was he?" She asks, giggling. "Really cute! He had an adorable smile. And he was really sweet." She tells her. "Aww cute! Maybe you finally found yourself a boyfriend!" Yeri teases her friend playfully.
Yenon laughs softly at that and looks down at her drink. "Right." She says softly. Her smile fades at the thought of a boyfriend. The last boyfriend she had, didn't work too well. She had caught him in the middle of cheating on her with another student at the college they attended. And now, they were dating happily. It was like they were doing it to hurt her. "Yenon.. I'm sorry for bringing that up. I was just trying to make a little joke." Yeri says. Yenon looks at her and smiles. "No, Yeri. Don't apologize. I know you didn't mean it that way. It's alright. I'm okay. Really." She takes Yeri's hand in her own. She gives a gentle smile. Sojin takes both of their hands.
"Hey. Listen. The 3 of us are beautiful, single and independent women! We're attending college to make our dreams come true. We don't need any guys in our lives to interfere with that!" She says in a happy voice. Yeri and Yenon smile at her. "Right!" Yeri says. "Agreed! We're doing just fine without any men in our lives!" Yenon says to them. The three of them let out happy cheers, while laughing together.
