Thump. Slide. Bam.
"Ouch! That hurts like hell." Groaning in pain, I massage my hips, "Told you I'm hopeless in this."
Tony skates towards me with ease, expertly I must say, he then lends me a hand so I can stand up. It was only just a split second but I noticed his reaction... Did he just laugh at me? He seems to be enjoying the fact that the floor and my butt are best friends right now.
"Love, if you want to learn how to rollerblade, you'll need to practice more. Stand up and let me guide you this time." His eyes glisten as he holds my waist.
Rolling my eyes, I glare at him, "Who says I want to learn it? Don't know about you but I'm getting out of here." I break free from his grasp on my hips, forgetting that I'm no expert in skating. I fall after the big waves move the ship to the other side.
Grimace paints my face that is now flat on the floor, "Aw. Shit." I swear, I'm going to kill this guy.
This is not what I imagine our first date as a real couple would be--a huge dose of bruises, pain, and hate instead of a perfect mix of kisses, foods, yes, foods, and love.
"Babe..." He's laughing, seriously?
"Shut up!" I scowl at him. I'm seriously not in the mood to laugh, I'm so furious right now. If he didn't insist that rollerblades are fun and all that blah-blah, my poor ass will not hurt like this.
"Love..." He kneels to remove the roller blades on my feet.
"Don't touch me!" I kick his hand. Once is enough, twice is too much, but allowing me to fall like seven times, that's unforgivable.
"I'm sorry, you know you have to fall to learn it. That's part of the process." He grins.
He finds it amusing that my blood is boiling right now.
"Process your face! Your face will be as purple as my ass once we're back in our room. Start running for the hills now." He might not believe that I have a black belt in judo and karate.
He beams, "How can I run away when you still look like a baby-faced angel even if you're angry? My girl is very pretty." I didn't notice that he already took my rollerblades off and replaced it with my white chucks. "Come on, let's eat lunch."
That's the magic word, 'eat', and it put a smile on my face. My body aches but I don't mind, as long as Ana and I are satisfied.
Tony knows what strings to pull, he's well aware that my weakness is food. The corners of his mouth turn up in an expression that shows amusement and affection.
He brings me to a World Buffet. Just wow! My eyes feast on the different types of cuisines-- Italian, American, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Mexican. Yummy!
Tasting almost everything, I burp after consuming at least five plates of food. Not sure if that's accurate though because I lost count after enjoying the food so much.
"Thanks, love." I blurt out. I put my hands on my stomach, it's full. Ana's happy.
"Love?" His face instantly lights up, cute, "That's a first." He stands up from the chair that's opposite mine and kisses my hair, which sends electric current from my head to toe, literally.
"I'm so contented right now that I can call you anything you want-- babe, honey, sweetheart, sugar pie, pizza pie, kisses, KitKat, Pringles, gummy bears, sprite, marshmallows... Name it, I can call you anything."
"Babe, not time for snacks yet. Most of the nicknames you've mentioned are names of foods. Are you still hungry?" Teasing me, his lips curve upwards, "How about daddy? Call me that."
