WE'D GOTTEN DOWN A CORRIDOR WHEN Luke stopped and turned to look at me. I stared back at him curious as to why he'd stopped?

He'd done this quite a few times as we walked together, but this was the first time he'd stopped.

" I'm curious, do you like Ambrose? " he asked bluntly

My breath got caught in my throat as I looked at him. I could feel my face getting hot as the inevitable blush rushed to my cheeks.

" I mean yeah, but he probably doesn't share my I mean he's your boyfriend isn't he? " I mumbled looking at the ground

" We're not together you know, me and Ambrose. I did love him and we hooked up once though it never went anywhere but I saw the way his eyes lit up when he talked about you." he says smiling softly at me.

I looked at him eyes wide before smiling back at him.

" I was scared you know that he'd fallen in love with you that'd you'd steal him but i wanted him to be happy, and in the time I was gone you made him happy thank you " I said smiling quite brightly at him

He asked if we could be friends and I replied that'd I'd be happy too, and as he dropped me off at Blackwood's office and began to walk away he told me he was rooting for me and with a laugh and a smile he was gone.

It was like a weight had been lifted off my heart, the melancholy cloud that hung over my life had disappeared. I wished for Luke's happiness and I knew we'd be great friends.

And as I knocked on Father Blackwood's door a smile still stayed on my lips a small blush on my face.

I wondered if Marla was alright with Sabrina if all the anxiety she had this morning was gone, I wished for her happiness to and I knew before anything I'd promised myself to make her happy and if that was with Sabrina that's what I was going to do.
