Shalom everyone!!! How have you all been? It has been ages I last saw this beautiful platform. School has kept me on my toes but I'm now on holiday and hopefully will update as much as I can before going back. Stay blessed and limitless.

A whole lot of people were distracted at church for nearly ten minutes after the couple arrived. Many asked each other questions but no answer came. The couple smiled and ignored the live gossip about their marriage and listened to the choir instead.
"Why are people murmuring so much?" Jonathan asked with concern.
"Funmi and her husband just arrived." Wole said tightly.
"She brought an atheist to church?" Jonathan asked with disgust.
"Brother. Jonathan! Is the church no longer existing for sinners and those seeking God? Stop this shameful acts." One of the brothers standing next to them reprimanded them.
Funmi on the other hand worshiped like never before. Her heart was overflowing with joy and she believed that his stepping into the house of God was a big step in the right direction. He followed her willingly for goodness' sake! Her husband was going to know God and that was enough testimony to last her a lifetime.
She became happier although surprised when Antonio joined in to sing some of the songs presented by the choir. At first, she wanted to laugh and tease him but she kept silent and continued to worship God.
Hours later, the service ended and Funmi decided to show Antonio around and also introduce him to her friends and elders. She was beaming with joy and this really infuriated Jonathan. It was either she was pretending to be happy or she was falling in love with the atheist!
As she continued to introduce him to some of the leaders of the church, Sister. Adaobi came and greeted them.
"Funmi, the Pastor will see you now."
Antonio became horrified. There was no way he was seeing any pastor but he calmed himself down and followed his wife to get much needed counseling.

Who would have thought the day would end in a fight. Immediately they arrived home late in the afternoon, Antonio had lashed out at his wife. It started with an awkward silence in the car which stretched all the way home. Upon their arrival, she asked,
"Why are you so quiet?"
He glared at her, very hard and said, "What am I Funmi? Some strange specimen in your church laboratory? I'm not blind! It was clear they all disapproved of me, maybe even hate me for marrying you. You have succeeded in making a fool out of me."
Funmi sighed and apologised. "I'm very sorry. I shouldn't have allowed you to follow me to church today. It was selfish of me to expect you to blend in easily."
Antonio became calm almost immediately by her gentle response.
"It's alright. I would have spent the day by myself and would have been lonely too. See you tomorrow."
"Tomorrow? Are you not eating dinner?"
He smirked and replied, "Don't push your luck Funmi. Good night." He walked away and into his bedroom.
Funmi felt hot tears falling down her face.
"Father, I can't do this. I can't continue to live my life this way. I can't take this anymore. Everything was an act but then why should I expect anything from him?" She slowly walked to her room, dejected.
She was about to change out of her church clothes and freshen up when the door bell rang.
"Great! Who is it now?" She grudgingly left her room, heading down the stairs but she soon stopped in her tracks as she saw her husband in a warm embrace with none other than his ex-fiance Sharon.
"Thank God you came. She made an utter fool out of me but you are here now."
Sharon broke the embrace and shamelessly told him, "Divorce her Toni and save yourself from all this drama and madness."
"I can't Sharon."
"Why not? You have been married for almost nine months. That is enough time to get rid of her!" She folded her arms across her chest. "I want to be your wife Antonio. I want us to be together like we planned and dreamed. I can't continue like this. It is either you divorce her or I'll let you go."
Antonio went down on his knees almost immediately.
'My love and life, give me a little more time."
"Let's go already." Sharon said in irritation and left. Antonio stood up, looked around the house and followed her.
Two hours later.
After freshening up, Funmi packed some of her essential things in a brown leather overnight bag so she could go and stay at her house for a while and also give Antonio space. She decided to leave a note for him.
"Antonio, I'm sorry for hurting you. I will not b around for a while but I will let you know when I might return." She placed the note on the table in their living room and stood up to leave. Just then she heard a knock.
How come I didn't hear the gate open?
She scolded herself for zoning out and walked to the door. Why should she be sad, after all Antonio "dropped" Sharon to marry her. He sacrificed his happiness too and it was only fair he was tired at this point. She opened the door without asking who was there. Her eyes bulged in surprise as she saw the visitor standing on her doorstep.
"Surprised?" A deep male voice said.
Funmi jumped in excitement and embraced him.
"I have missed you so much. Thank you for coming back."
