"Kimby no, you can't do that!"

"Yes, Kariann I can and honestly why shouldn't I?" Kimby argued.

"Because Karlie would've talked to us if she wanted us to know! We don't even know what we saw," Kariann reasoned with her twin sister.

"Oh please Kari, we both know exactly what we saw."

"Kimby, if we had seen her with some guy I'd be with you and jump our sister with questions, but she wasn't. She was with a girl. Don't you think that Karlie would have told us if she was ready for us to know? You can't just drag her out of the closet."

"I guess you're right but we did catch them kissing in plain sight is all I'm saying."

"Just drop it already!"

"If Kar didn't want the world to know she would've hidden it way better."

"She maybe just wanted to have a nice afternoon and there was no way she could've known we'd be there, too."

"But-"

"Kimby just forget what we saw, okay?" Kariann almost begged her sister, "She'll come to us when she's ready."

"Fine," Kimby sighed in defeat. She hated to admit that her twin had a valid point. Karlie would talk whenever she was ready.

In that moment the two Kloss sisters heard the front door open.

"I'm home," Karlie called as she entered the house.

"Hello Karlie," Kimby said as Karlie walked into the living room where the  twins were sitting on the couch.

"What's up?" Karlie asked as she sat down, sensing some weird tone in her younger sister's voice. Was that suspicion?

"Nothing," Kariann replied in the same moment Kimby said, "Where were you?"

"I was at the Ben & Jerry's shop in town," Karlie slowly said, confused by her sisters' antics.

"Were you alone?" Kimby questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Um, I was with a friend," Karlie replied even more confused. She had been at the ice cream shop with Taylor but she had no intention of letting her sisters know that yet. It wasn't like she enjoyed keeping such a big secret from them, she hated it actually. Yet she wasn't ready to let them know either.

"That's cool," Kariann glared at her sister.

"What's going on here?" Karlie asked completely lost.

"Absolutely nothing, we're just interested in our older sister's life," Kariann said.

"Okay," Karlie stood up from the couch still confused, "I'll go upstairs to study."

As she walked out of the room she could hear her sisters hitting each other with pillows. What was going on?

'Hey baby, I've had so much fun this afternoon!! Do you wanna come to Ed's open mic tonight? He'd love to finally meet you!! Xxx'

Karlie immediately wrote back,

'I've had so much fun too!! I'd love to come. Do you want me to pick you up? Xxx'

'Ed got his mom's car so he can drive if that's okay:)'

'I finally get to meet him, huh?'

'Yeah, we'll be at your place at 6.30pm.'

'Perfect I can't wait to see you babe:)'

6.30. Karlie had exactly one hour to get ready and to get her homework done. She would follow Taylor's advice to call her older sister Kristine tomorrow. That phone call might take longer than one hour.
