ever since Hermione could remember her favorite color has been lavender and since the day she knew she wanted kids she decided that if she had a girl her name would be Lavender but then Lavender Brown came along. Eventually, they got along after the war- Brown was in the Department of Magical Relations, a position she only got because of Hermione's anti-discrimination laws even though she was never a "true" werewolf. Hermione just couldn't help but remember her with Ron, hence the name Rose.
