"Beatrice you need to get up right now if you want a ride to the library." My mother yells at me from behind my locked bedroom door.

"I'm already up, mother." I unplug my phone and walk over to my closet, slip on my black converse and walked over to my door and met my mother downstairs.

"How did you sleep, hun?" My mother asks my father.

"Very well, I have to go in the office today, so I'll see you all at dinner." He dismisses himself after kissing my brother, Caleb, and I on the forehead.

My father is a big time lawyer and my mother is a 4th grade math teacher. I guess you could say we have the perfect family, but to be honest we are probably the exact opposite.

"Eat up before we go." My mother says as she sets a plate with two pancakes and eggs in front of me. I slowly eat my breakfast. When I am finished, I walk over to the sink and wash it.

"I'm ready." I say with a smile. I grab my backpack from beside the stairs and wait for my mother to meet me by the door.

"Bye, honey. I'll be home at about 2:00, so be careful." I hear my mother say to Caleb from the kitchen.

"Yes, mother." I hear him say politely.

My mother soon meets me at the front door and smiles. She takes her set of keys from the hook and her purse. We walk out of the door and to the car. I wait for her to unlock the car doors while she locks the front door. She finally unlocks the car and I sit down in the passenger seat as she starts the car.

"So who are you going to be studying with today?" My mother asks as she backs out of the drive way.

"Christina." I answer with a smile.

"I don't like that girl. She's too wild."

"She's my best friend." I raise my voice.

"Attitude, Beatrice." My mother hold her hand up to silence me.

The remainder of the car ride is silent. We listen to the birds chirp as we pull up in front of the library.

"Thank you, mother. I will see you later." I get out of the car and start making my way to the front entrance.

I walk slowly, watching my mother drive off. I smile and run the left side of the library, where I told Christina to meet me at.

"Psst." I hiss for Christina.

"Up here, Bea." Christina whispers from the tree above me.

"Come on, let's go." I say to her as she jumps down and gives me a quick hug.

We walk away from the library and to the park. I always tell my mother that I am going to study with Christina every Saturday, but instead of studying at the library we always go somewhere else to do something else. Today, we are going to the park to watch Will play basketball and then from there we are gonna go downtown.

When we arrive at the park, we can see Will shooting hoops at the court. We run toward that direction.

"Hey, Will!" Christina yells as she jumps on him and he picks her up and twirls her around. Christina kisses Will on the lips and I awkwardly stand there.

"Hey, Bea!" Will sets Christina down and hugs me tightly.

"Hey, Will!" I smile to him. Christina and I take a seat on the wooden bleachers on the side of the court and watch Will warm up for the game.

"What did your mom say about going to..study with me, this time?" Christina chuckles as she opens my backpack and pulls out the gummy worms that I packed.

"She said that you were wild." I laugh as I take my sour patch kids from my backpack. Christina just laughs and the game starts.

By halftime, Will's team is up by 16 points. Christina and I are on the edge of our seats while the game starts after about 5 minutes of half time.  The game starts and we can hear the coach yelling at Will, congratulating him on making a 3 pointer.

The game ends after the fourth quarter. We won. The score was 62 to 24. We congratulate Will once he is dismissed by the coach.

"You guys did great." I smile to him.

"Thanks." He smiles at me and begins to talk to Christina. We continue walking. I pull out my phone and check the time. I am so focused on my phone that I didn't see a guy walking in front of me. I soon realized when I bump into him.

"Oh, sorry." I stutter when I look up at him.

The guy is around my age, maybe a year older than me. He has bright brown eyes with a hint of gold.  But the best part about him is his jawline. He was surely blessed with good looks.

"Done staring at me?" He coldly asks.

"S-sorry." My voice is small and I pick my phone up from the ground. Thank god I had a case on it today unless my phone would have been cracked. I walk up to Christina and Will after picking my things up.

"Who was that?" Christina asks as she glares at him.

"I don't know." I look back at the guy. His back to facing me as he walks on the side walk.

"Let's go." Will snaps me out of my thoughts. We continue walking toward down town.

We arrive at our favorite diner. We would have gone somewhere else, but we absolutely love this diner. It is designed like a diner would look like in the 50's. There are only booths and stools. The stools are placed in front of the bar and the booths are placed against the walls. There is a jukebox against the left side of the bar.

"Hey, guys. What can I get you guys?" Carol, our favorite waitress asks as we sit at the bar.

"Hey, Carol. Can I please get a strawberry milkshake and some fries." I smile as she writes my order down on a notepad. Christina orders a cheeseburger and a coke and Will order the same as Christina but with a side of fries.

"Coming right up." She smiles and walks away from us. Christina, Will, and I are laughing as we joke about Will's parents and what they were doing last night.

Will is complaining that his mother is so loud in bed, he never gets to sleep. I am distracted by the sound of the bell ringing, signaling that someone just either walked in or walked out. I turn around and I see the same guy that I bumped into at the park. When we walks in, I notice that he has his arm around a girl.

She is around my age but a bit taller than me. She has blonde hair that reaches down to her shoulders. She walks with confidence as her heels click on the tile floor. She is wearing shorts that aren't much shorter than mine. Her tee-shirt has my favorite band on it-Arctic Monkeys. I think the guy that I bumped into notices that I am looking at them because he smirks at me as they sit at a booth. I quickly turn around and take another sip of my milkshake.
