Sequence 12: One Falls, Another Rises

Couple hours later,
no one's POV

The sun was currently setting in Vale. After driving for a while, Aaron and y/n drive up to the abandoned house that Summer and y/n were living in. Y/n was the first to get out of the car before running into the house. Aaron was right behind him as he pulls out his pistol and placed his mask up above his mouth. Y/n busted the door down and ran inside.

"Summer?!" Y/n shouts as he looks around, worrying something might've happened to her, "Summer!"

There was no response. Y/n became even more worried as he ran through the house to find it empty. Aaron enters in next as he aims his pistol in case of being attacked. Y/n ran up the stairs as Aaron searches downstairs. After a bit, y/n ran down the stairs to find Aaron looking out the windows.

"No, no, no!" Y/n shouts, mainly to himself, "Don't tell me the Templars took her!"

"..." Aaron remains silent as he looks at something through the window.

Y/n noticed this and walks up to him. "Why aren't you-?!"

"Shhh!" Aaron shushes y/n as he puts his hand up. "Hold on." Aaron ran out of the house, confusing y/n. Y/n went to follow him as Aaron had his pistol aimed at someone.

"Don't move!" Aaron barks.

The person gasps as they dropped some logs of wood. It was Summer, confused about who Aaron was. Y/n ran towards Aaron and lowered the man's pistol.

"Don't! That's her!"

Aaron looks at y/n for a second then to Summer, then back to y/n. After realizing his mistake, he finally puts his pistol away. "Sorry." Was all he mumbled as he looks down at the ground.

Summer didn't hear him as she focused on y/n. "Y/n?" What's wrong? Where have you been?"

Y/n didn't respond. He instead ran up to her and hugged her tightly. "Thank god you're okay! I thought the Templars took you."

Summer was confused for a moment, not sure what to say. But that was until she figured out what he was talking about and returned the hug. "I'm fine, y/n. I can take care of myself."

"I know, but-." Y/n was interrupted when Aaron cleared his throat. The two look back to see Aaron standing there awkwardly. The two release before y/n walks up to Aaron.

"Uhhh...who are you?" Summer asks as she studies Aaron.

"Summer," Y/n began, motioning to Aaron, "this is Aaron, my...cousin." He said awkwardly.

"Oh." Was all Summer said before giving a half wave.

Y/n then motions to Summer. "Aaron, this is Summer."

Aaron simply nods to Summer. "Glad we got introductions out of the way....But I'm confused; What were you two even doing out here by yourselves? Seems a little fishy to me..." He jokes while glancing between the two.

Summer and y/n look at each other, confused. After a few seconds, the two pieced together what Aaron meant before their faces turned red and began yelling over one another as they stuttered.

Aaron was taken somewhat surprised by this. But that quickly changed to irritation as he couldn't understand the two. "Alright, enough!" Aaron shouts. "Calm down!"

The two immediately stop yelling as they both awkwardly look away from each other, embarrassed to look at the other.

"Good." Aaron said. "One at a time. Y/n, I want you to go first. How did you two meet?"
