Okay, I'm at the point where I have to admit something because I would be lying to myself if I didn't. He's fucking gorgeous.

Yes, the thought of him and I has obviously popped into my head, why wouldn't it? I'm not blind I've noticed his looks from the very first day he stomped into the office. No girl can deny it. His vieny strong arms that he loves to show off. How insanely tall he is. How he would look on top of me as I grab his incredibly built shoulders—

But that doesn't change the fact that his personality is completely off-putting. He treats women like toys and then drops them like it's nothing. Not to mention he doesn't share the same values as I do. He slacks on his job and he does nothing meaningful with his life.

His comment in the parking lot may have inspired a bit of daydreaming but that's all it is. Harmless daydreaming.

I spent the weekend enjoying my time outdoors and catching up on errands like the responsible girl I am. These past days allowed me to gather myself and collect my thoughts. I now fully understand his tricks and I will not be tossed around like a cat with a mouse.

My goal this week is to get to the bottom of his intentions and find out more about him. He seemed to have cracked down on all my secrets and skeletons but yet I know none of his.

I arrived at my office a bit earlier to prepare for the long week ahead, with this project nearing its deadline there is so much to prepare. To my surprise, Brandon shows up on time with two coffees in his hands. He drops one off at my desk and quietly sits down unpacking his belongings.

I am thrown off by his calm and orderly manner but I move forward. I let him settle in and after a long drawn-out morning meeting, we head back to my office and get organized.

He silently types away at his computer but I am intent on following through with my own agenda. "Brandon, can I ask you something?" This has been boggling my mind for the longest time.

"What made you want to get into film?"

He pauses for a second as he formulates a response. "The chicks, obviously." Of, course I'm greeted with his dry humour. "Honestly, though." I pry.

"I guess I just love the production aspect of it all. I mean I always loved movies as a kid from Scorsese to Fincher I seen 'em all."

I listen and take mental notes wondering when he did his research for this. "I always liked the idea of being behind the scenes and creating something as a small gear in a huge working machine." His words were astounding.

Suddenly our discussion is interrupted by a knock on the door. It's Sophie. I assume she's here to speak with me about the direction of the project but to my disdain, she asks for Brandon. "Come in my office for a sec?"

After anxiously sitting around stirring on what the hell she might want to speak with my assistant about I overhear a bunch of commotion outside in the hall.

Out of pure curiosity, I step out and I'm shocked to see the other directors and head-office team crowding Brandon and handing out handshakes like he just saved a puppy from a burning fire. "Hey what's all this about?" I insert myself into the conversation and try to act professionally.

"We were going to announce it during the meeting but, the HR team stopped by for a visit so we decided not to wait. "The company is expanding and we have just offered Brandon a full-time position."

I push aside my initial reaction and congratulate him in front of all the team leaders and put my best foot forward. Of course, I'll have a check-in with Sophie later to really probe why they've come to this decision but for now, I'll be happy for Brandon.
