New Discoveries

Chapter 5

(A/n. Omg Im so sorry that I took sooooooo long to update but I've just been super busy with school  and homework and crappy wifi, but hey I'm back right)

Jess'spov

I woke up in one of the most awkwardest position ever. My head was on one side of a chair and my legs were hung over the other. I swug my legs over the side so I was sat in the right position. I looked around the room and realised I wasnt in my bed. I started to panic before I realised that I was in Niall's living room. No one else was in the room, it was just me and Baby D. I stood up and stretched before pulling out my phone of my pocket. I checked the time, 10:36. I wondered out of the living room and down to the kitchen. There was no one here apart  from a plate with pancakes on, and a note. I picked up the note and started to read it.

Jess,

I made you some pancakes. Josh went to the store to get somethings but he will be back soon. Me and my family are in the basement. So if you go to the stairs, there is a door on the left. Go down there and thats where we will be.

I put the note back down and picked up the plate of pancakes.
I walked to the stairs and saw the door on the side. I quickly opened it and walked down the few stairs. I saw Niall and his family, along with Sarah all sat around, watching the TV in their pj's.
Niall looked over to me and smiled. I smiled back and sat on the only chair avaliable. On my right was Niall's mum Maura, who smiled at me like a child on Christmas morning, and on my left was Denise, Niall's, sister-in-law and Sarah on the other side of her. Theo was on the floor happily, playing with his toys.
Niall, his brother and their father were talking about something, that I couldn't quite hear.  My only option was to talk to Maura and Denise. "Denise" I said turning to her. She turned to me and smiled. "How old is Theo?" I asked, looking at the infant. "He is 1 year old" she said, smiling at her son. I smiled.
"Has he said his first word yet?" I asked, getting the facts.
"He said 'Dada' a few days ago" she said, still smiling.
I smiled along with her.
"Do you mind if one day I can babysit him?" She hesitated for a second.
"Uh, you could with Niall?" she said, sounding like she wasn't sure.
"Do you not want me too?" I asked.
"I do! Trust me I do. It's just I don't know you that well. Perhaps we could go out sometime. Shopping, maybe?" she asked. I smiled. 

"Yeah, I'd like that" I said. "Do you want my number?" I asked. 

"Yeah, sure" she said. She gave me her phone and I put in my number. "Thank you" she said, as I gave her, her phone back.

We sat chatting about children and things like that. Until Niall spoke up. "I just got a text from Josh, saying that he is going out with his friend, so we can do what we want" I nodded. "Oo?" Theo asked. "The Zoo?" Denise asked. Theo nodded his little head. "Oo, Oo, Oo!" Theo kept on saying. "Guess we are going to the Zoo then" Niall said. Everyone started to exit the room. Niall passed me but I grabbed his arm to stop him. "What's up Jess?" he asked. "Can Sarah and I go home and get changed please?" I asked. "Of course. Here have these" he said passing me a set of keys. "Niall niether of us drive" I said handing the keys back. His mouth formed and 'O' shape. "I'll take ya now" he said jogging up the spiral stairs. We followed behind him, up the stairs. I saw him speak to his brother, before getting out his keys, and opening the front door. "Come on then" he said walking out to his car.  We climbed into a big black Range Rover, and drove to mine and Josh's house.
