Chapter 8

I ran out the hospital and straight to my car. I drove to the nearest mall and parked my car. I ran inside and found a baby shop.

I walked in and was greeted by a nice young lady with a warm smile.

I picked up a basket and walked to the boy clothes section. I put in a load of onesies, socks, mittens, hats, t-shirts and trousers. I looked up from my full basket.

"Hello sir. Would you like some help?" she asked, coming out from around the counter. "Yes please. Im looking for a baby carrier" I said looking around the store. "Right this way" she said walking to the back of the store. I followed her and she stopped infront of the baby carriers.

"We have 3 different colours. Blue, Pink or Black. Which one would you like?" "The Blue one please" I said. "Ok. I will just go and get it for you" she said walking out the back to the stock cupboard.

She came back out with a blue baby carrier. She placed it on the counter and scanned it.

I paid for the carrier and the clothes and left the mall. I climbed back in my car and drove back to the hospital. I parked in the same spot as I did before and jumped out the car. I carried the carrier and clothes into the hospital and up to Jess's room.

I knocked on the door and walked in. Jess was asleep on her bed and Josh was holding Toby. "Hi Josh" I said putting the carrier down. He looked up and smiled. "Been shopping then mate" He said looking back at the baby. "Yeah, Jess was getting stressed because we didnt have anything for him" he nodded. "Well a nurse came in a few minutes ago and showed me how to change his nappy. She also said that he needs to be fed with some breast milk. I said that we would do it when Jess woke up" I nodded and sat down on the chair next to Josh.

I laid my head back and closed my eyes.

******Jess's pov******

I woke up and saw my brother. I rubbed eyes. "Whats the time?" I asked. "7 o'clock. Whys that?" "I cant remember how long I have been here" I said rubbing my belly. "You have been here for 2 days" my brother said.

There was a knock at the door. A nurse came in with a big smile on her face. "Hello Jess. You and your baby are very well and you can go home at any time, but before you go you need to feed your baby" she said. I nodded. "Would you like me to help you with it as you are a new mom?" "Yes please, but can I just talk to my brother for a minute please?" she nodded and left the room.

"Josh can you wake up Niall please?" I asked my brother. He nodded. I looked over to my baby who layed peacefully asleep in his crib.

Niall stood up and Josh left the room. Niall brought the chair over to the side of the bed and sat down. The nurse got Toby out of his crib and brought him over to the bed.

Once I had fed Toby, the nurse left and let us get ready to leave. "Lets go back to the hotel" Niall said carrying Toby out to the car as I hobbled. Niall put Tobys carseat in the car and ran round to help me get in.

We drove back to the Hotel in a peaceful silence, apart from the little snores that Toby made.

We pulled up outside the Hotel where there were swarms of fans and paps. I rolled my eyes and looked at Niall, who looked back. He started to lean in, so I followed. Soon enough our lips met and we kissed, passionetly. He pulled back and unbuckled his seatbelt. "Let's go inside and get away from this madness" he said nodding towards the fans and paps. I chuckled and unbuckled my seatbelt. Niall climbed out and walked round to my side of the car. He opened the door and helped me out. He then ran round and got Toby out.

As we walked towards the hotel, 'Congrats' and 'Aw's' were all I could hear from he fans, as well as some hurtful things, but I ignored them. I had baby onesies thrown at me that said 'Crazy Mofo's', 'Youngest directioner', 'Nialls Lucky Charm' and 'Handsome Like Daddy'. I smiled as I walked into the Hotel. Niall pushed the button for the lift and the doors opened. We got in the lift and went up to our floor.

Niall unlocked the door and we walked in. All the boys, Lou and Lux were sat on the couch, my dad and brothers were also here. I smiled as I hobbled over to my family. My dad pulled me in for a hug as tears came to my eyes. "So where is my grandson then?" asked my father curiously. I let go and looked for Niall. I saw him sat at the table. I walked over to Niall and saw him holding Toby. He looked up and smiled. "Would you like him?" he asked. I nodded, as Niall handed me Toby. I kissed his lips and walked over to my dad.

I saw his eyes water as he saw my baby. "Want to hold him?" I asked, as my dad nodded. I gave my dad the baby and hugged my brother.

""What's his name?" my dad asked. "Toby Joseph" I said, while my brother just smiled. "Toby Joseph Devine. I liked it" dad said. "Actually it's Toby Joseph Horan" I said showing them my engagment ring. I felt two arms wrap around me from the back. I layed my head back and saw Niall. I smiled and he kissed my lips.
