"i won't give up on us. even if the skies get rough," you sang, standing on the table, as conner was sitting on one of the benches, smiling at what you're doing and when your eyes met his, you smiled back. this was how most of the days went by, all you ever did was to be with your friends and conner every dismissal time. but since they all went home, you decided to just enjoy the peaceful moment with your boyfriend.

it's not that hard to balance your friendships with friends and your relationship with him because fortunately, you all came from the same circle of friends. at first, you really didn't like him much, he just tagged along with wally and his two friends and since wally is your bestfriend, being acquaintances with the ultra hot guy was inevitable.

of course, you started to greet him when you pass by him along the corridors but basically, that's it. in all honesty, you're pretty much awkward around him since he's super nice to you and it's uncomfortable because you're not really that close. because of his weird kindness, you assumed that he likes you and avoided him most of the time.

until the play-offs happened and you had to be with him often because of wally. the certain red head was the captain of your university's basketball team, and as his 'bestie' you had to support him a lot- it's not like you minded, because all his teammates are super cute and hot. conner also happened to be one of them so when you spend time with wally, he's around you, as well.

three days after that, you confessed to your red headed friend that you might actually like the ravenette and he promised he won't tell unless you tell him to do so. you started to talk to conner a lot and you wondered if he knew about what you feel, but it's unlike wally to break his promises, so you're pretty much sure that conner might be clueless.

one day, your guy classmate, [guy's name], confessed his feelings to you and you had to turn him down because one, you like someone else. and two, he's not really your type. because of that, you told wally about it and guess what? conner sent you a message!

well, in the end, he basically just confessed about his feelings and you did, too. he also mentioned that he really did like you back then but stopped his feelings because he was pretty sure that you won't like him, which is contradictory to what is happening. what made him tell you his feelings abruptly is the fact that wally told him about the guy and of course, before anyone else could steal you away, he finally did it.

"i love your voice," he implied, and you took the seat next to him, resting your head on his shoulder. it was 4:15 in the afternoon, and people are already starting to leave but the both of you stayed in your position, enjoying the warmth that each other had.
