The ceremony began and the pastor spoke. I zoned him out as I just stared at my husband.

"Friends, we have joined here today to share with Matthew Jones and Amare Jones an important moment in their lives. Their time together, they have seen their love and understanding of each other grow and blossom and now they have decided to live out the rest of their lives as one. If any person can show just cause why they may not be joined together - let them speak now or forever hold their peace."

"Yall better stay seated." August mama said popping up. I laughed.

Nobody moved. "Mhm go ahead pastor." She said sitting down. "Alrighty then we gone start this off with a small prayer of marriage, love, happiness, and togetherness."

We bowed our heads.

"Dear heavenly father thank you for bringing these two together during this dark time. They obviously love each other lord but protect them through these storms they will endure along the way. Bless not only them but their family and friends too as they fall back on each other. When times get tough lord hold them together with you strongest glue. In Jesus name I pray Amen."

"Amen!" Everybody said.

"Who would like to say their vows first?" "Me!" Matthew said.

I smiled as he stared at me.

"Amare babygirl you changed me for the better. You made me the man I am today. I pushed you away and you still came back showing the same love.

You're my world and so are the kids. I may not be their father and I'll never try to take August's spot but I'm not just making a promise to you but to them too." He pulled rings out his pocket.

He looked at Royalty and they all got up and came over.

"I can't just marry their mother without promising them too. Royalty, Ameria, AJ, Amerr, Bre, and Brandon. I promise to love y'all just as much and to never treat y'all wrong just because some of y'all ain't mines blood wise."

He slid the rings on their fingers. I was crying so hard.

"I love y'all." He said before they all tackled him with hugs. I laughed. "We love you too." Royalty said. He laughed getting up.

"Like I was saying. Amare I love you so much. Today you're making me the happiest man in the world. I love you Amare. I love how when you mad you pout like a little kid, how you make that ugly ass thinking face, how when you sleep you snore softly, I love how you hold a nigga down when I give up, how you make sure everyone's okay before yourself. "I love you to Matthew. You gone make all my make-up wash off." I said dapping my eyes. "Amare you ready?" The pastor asked.

I nodded. "Matthew I love you so much. You came into my life when I was young, confused, and desperate for love. I was in a very tough place when I met you but you ignored all my flaws and accepted me for me. Not once have you ever thrown up my past in my face.

We both made stupid decisions but in the end you became my man and I became your woman. It'll take me some time to deal with allat extra energy you be having but I hope you keep that same energy for tonight."

Everybody started laughing.

"I love you lil raggedy more than anything. You'll always be my husband no matter what and if you ever try to leave me I will kill you so you stuck forever." I said.

I laughed. I know she oso serious but she just so small it makes me laugh.
