Past- 04

Ana's POV :-

"Here" I handed him a small yellow box- half satisfied with myself and half questioning myself for doing such things for him.

"What's this?!" Noah took a side glance at the box and while munching on the poptarts, kept playing on his Xbox.

"This is what will be your savior when I am not around" I said dramatically just to get his reaction.

He stopped playing and turned to my side to look at the small box I was holding and then at me.
"Then I don't need it- Throw it away"
He looked away a bit pissed.

"Hey" I glared, "This is your medicine box. I have arranged everything here so that you wouldn't be in such a mess and panic when you have those attacks and go around looking everywhere"

"Why did you have to say when you won't be around?" His gray eyes sparkled with a hint of pain. It has been few months now that we are dating. I loved the attention I am getting for dating a famous & popular senior like Noah Ryder, but this relationship is bringing in a lot more baggage than what I imagine I could handle.

"Just like that!" I shrugged.

"Aren't you happy?" Noah looked at me in concern.

"What do you mean?" I looked away, trying to casually steer away from this conversation.

"I thought you were happy" Noah stood up and turned towards me. He looked down where I was sitting and said hesitantly. "You said yes.. when I had proposed you few months ago infront of half the uni.. you did say yes on your own right? Or did I force you that time?!!"

God! He looked so panicked and afraid of what I might say next. "Noah.."

"Let me know if you think it's going too fast or you feel pressurized or anything.. anything that you don't like about me.. let me know.. I'll change. I won't force you. I will let you have your space.."

"Noah.. Noah" I got up and held onto both his hands to calm him down. "Noah- "
I could see how scared he looked at the thought that I might actually leave him.
"Hey.. Shh.. Calm down, Noah. Relax. I am not going anywhere and I am not saying anything about being unhappy"
I wrapped my hand around his neck and soothingly moved my fingers at the back of his head which oddly calmed him down and he relaxed with a sigh of relief.

"You know you are the only one for me.." His eyes softly bore over mine, searching away for my confirmation, "Right?"

"Noah.." I smiled and avoided the question, "What's the matter with you today? You are being so giddy"

"Nothing.." He left my arms and walked away to sit on the couch.
A silent pause and he looked over to me again.
Puffing out a sigh in defeat he started, "I called today.. just like you wanted me to"

"You what?" I smiled in surprise, "You called your parents?"

He had a sheepish smile, "Well not exac.. I mean, I called gg.." He put his head down and looked abstractedly at his fingers, "I will need more time to face my parents and probably more courage.. I don't think it will happen anytime soon"

I quickly sat beside him and held his face to turn it towards me, "It's okay.." I said as his gray eyes brightened up, "Atleast this was a positive start. What did she say? Is everyone alright in your family?"
I know I might have sounded more energetic than I should be, but I couldn't help it. Atleast he had his family he could get back to.
