Miss Iliana Scott,

We are pleased to inform you that your suspension has been withdrawn and you are cordially invited to take up your work in The Pearls as before.
Kindly report to Mr. Ryder tomorrow at 9am before joining back to the wedding event.

I kept staring at the email for a long time after Lora had left.
I don't think Noah really wanted to write such kind words for me assuming how ruthlessly he threw me out yesterday. Whats with his mood swings?!

I decided to go and meet him today instead of waiting another day as I needed some justification. I hadn't completely recovered yet from the fever and weakness, but I had to go see him before something else popped up!

Around 5pm I was at The Pearls again. The work seemed to be going on in its usual pace.
I decided to meet Noah directly in his top Floor Office room which used to be Derek's before he took over the position. I was surprised to find he wasn't there and instead was greeted by a young blonde girl.

"Oh.." I exclaimed as soon as I opened the door to his Office and stopped, "Umm.. Hi" I said looking at the girl sitting on the couch and then looking around to search for Noah. She was working on something keeping the laptop on her lap. She kept it on the desk infront and stood up hurriedly as soon as she saw me.

"Is Mr. Ryder not here?" I asked.

I looked back at the blond girl as she looked at me enquiringly.
"Hi" She gleamed, "Was there any meeting scheduled for today?"
She looked nervous.

"No.. I wanted to meet him regarding the email he..."

"Email?" She interrupted.

"Yes, it's about resuming work here. He didn't clearly mention why the suspension.."

"Oh!" She stopped me again as realization dawned on her face, "You are Ms Scott! I am Katie Hart" She smiled brightly at me,"I am his new secretary. I was just appointed yesterday. It happened so fast.. Anyways, Mr. Ryder had informed me about you and I have already got.."

"Katie?!" I stopped her, "Can you tell me where I could find him? It's important" I noticed her cheerful spirit dimmed a bit, but she kept up the smile.

"Mr. Ryder is working from his suite today. He didn't come up here, as he had some personal things to take care of. He informed he might work mostly from his suite until the wedding, and I am supposed to..."

"Thanks" I muttered, stopping her midway and turned around to go. The girl could speak a lot if not stopped!

"Wait!" She exclaimed in panic, "Please, Miss Scott, I have been given clear instructions that he shouldn't be disturbed today. You cannot go.."

"Katie, right?" I turned back to her and pursed in for a vague smile since my patience was wearing off, "I have come today to meet him. He suspended me yesterday stating I had done some huge mistake with some files. Even though I didn't, I was thrown out and today he is calling me back again like yesterday never happened! Do you think I look like someone who will stand for his crap?!!" I didn't mean to let it out on her, but I was sick of his mood changes. Katie looked taken aback a bit before she nodded at my direction.

"Just give me two minutes, Miss Scott. I will speak to him" She said in a firm manner and picked up her phone to dial his number.

"Hi Mr. Ryder.. " She paused and looked up at me with a nervous smile, the voice came out very clearly from the other side showing it wasn't a pleasant conversation, "I.. I understand you said not to disturb you today.. yes.. I know.. I am so sorry.. It's just that.. I know.. I am so sorry.. it's that, Miss Scott wants to.. Miss Iliana Scott.. yes.. She is in the Office.. She wants to meet with you urgently.. She says it's important.. Yes Mr. Ryder.. I will tell her that. Thank you"
The call got disconnected and she looked at me with a satisfied smile.
