"Noah Ryder is getting married?" Lora burst into the Office room and charged at me. I was engulfed into some random thought about some guy who had promised me a lifetime of happiness. But aren't promises meant to be broken?
And they said I was the b!tch!

"You heard?" I asked in a bored tone while typing on the keyboard.

"Yeah, Derek told me" Lora still stood infront of my table, probably waiting for me to react some way.

"Yeah, I heard it too. They are going to marry at Pearls. Isn't that great?"

"I hope you are being sarcastic" Lora stated confusedly seeing my reaction.

I looked up at her to give her a long silence pause before fixing my eyes on the screen again.

"Iliana, you should talk to him. How can you be alright with it?" Lora questioned again making me look back at her.

"What is there to talk about? And I am absolutely fine with it. Why wouldn't I be?"

"Iliana, don't do this. You know I was there last day, right? When you were trapped in the Elevator?!"

"And your point being?" I questioned.

She sighed giving up, "Fine, if you want me to tell you in details the things I saw" She paused to see if I would have stopped her, but since I didn't, she continued, "I had seen you both kiss a few days ago in the stairwell. The day we arrived the Hotel with a hangover, remember?"

"Lora!" I stood up, hushing her to be quiet. I looked around and was relieved to find no one else in the room except for the two of us, "How?"

"Yeah.. I had also seen you both yesterday. I heard when you called him Noah as the Elevator fell to the floor below. Since when do you started calling him that instead of McD!ckhead? Moreover, I had heard him yell back at you as Ana. That name is something nobody in this Office calls you. He didn't care that another employee was standing just beside him listening to his frantic call"

I slouched back in my chair.
"You knew?" I asked softly looking back at her.

"It wasn't hard to guess that you two knew eachother from somewhere after I had caught you both kiss and the way you both always act around eachother. At first I had shrugged it off thinking it was just some one time thing, but I got sure when I saw how he acted yesterday when he thought he had lost you" Lora came close and rested her hip over the desk beside me to glare at me more accusingly.

"It could be just an Office fling as well. You could be wrong about the whole thing!"
I suggested looking away.

"Oh please, you and Office fling? You couldn't do shit in three years with Derek even when you had plenty of opportunities. You were never into him, were you?" Iliana asked the last part hesitantly as I looked back at her. I understood the last part was meant for Derek and not Noah. I stayed quiet for few seconds,

"It's all in the past, Lora. Let's not dwell in it"
I tried to deviate from the topic.

"God!" She lifted her hand up in the air in frustration an then pulled them down, "You know, I bet nobody in your life ever tried knocking some sense into it ever! That's why you are this way. Some kind of passive-agressive emo!"

"Hey, too rude!" I faked a hurt tone as rolled her eyes at me and continued with a serious tone,

"Iliana you didn't see how scared Mr. Ryder looked when he thought you had fallen to the ground while being trapped within that thing. He was panicking to and fro in that place before calling a bunch of guys and running down the staircase. I hadn't see him like this any other time. I guess I hadn't seen anyone panicking like that!"
