Chpt 2. The Beigoma Academy Beyclub

As Yuuta, Rikka, Nibutani, Dekamori, and Kumin were walking towards the Beigoma academy entrance, Rikka crossed her arms in thought. "Hey, Rikka. Are you ok? You seem more focused than usual" Yuuta said. Rikka looked up at him and responded, "Yuuta, do you have to have a bey in order to join the beyclub?" "Well, the whole point of the beyclub is to have battles with other people. But I'll ask the captain if they'll let you join." Rikka smiled. "Huzzah! With our combined power, no one will be able to stop us!"

As they entered the doors of the school, they were overwhelmed by the number of people in the room. "Well, it looks like we didn't beat the human traffic here." Said Nibutani. "You think?" Yuuta said sarcastically. They made their way through the crowd of students to the front desk. "Excuse me, ma'am," Yuuta said to the receptionist. "We're new transfer students here. We were wondering where the beyclub is."  "Oh, the beyclub is actually outside. The small building in front of the school was built about a year ago due to so many members joining. The gym was beginning to feel slightly crowded." "Alright, thanks."

Yuuta and Rikka made their way over to the door and to the small building. Although there were many bladers in the beyclub, there weren't as many as the school, for which Yuuta was thankful. He looked at Rikka. Her excitement to see as many bladers were in the room was obvious. Yuuta opened the door.

She looked around the room and spotted a familiar face. "Hey I think I see Sam!" she said as she pointed across the room. "Let's see here. I guess the first order of business is to find out who the captain of the beyclub is." Yuuta said. He walked up to a blader and asked who the captain was. He responded, "That would be Fubuki Sumie. You two are new around here aren't you?". Yuuta nodded. "Well, he's usually on the roof training. You might find him there". "Thanks," Yuuta said.

When They made it up to the roof, they saw someone with blonde hair, red eyes, a black shirt with a small blue pendant, and blue jeans. "Uh, excuse me. Are you Fubuki Sumie?" The boy turned around and replied, "Yeah. Who are you?" "I'm Yuuta Togashi, and this is Rikka Takanashi." Rikka struck what looked to be a fighting stance as Yuuta introduced her.

"We recently transferred here." "Nice to meet you. So, did you want to talk to me about something?" "Yeah. You see, Rikka doesn't have a bey yet, but she wants to enter the beyclub." "The whole point of the beyclub is to have battles. Without a bey, what's the point of joining?" "That's exactly what I said."

"I have already started designing my own bey. Once it's' finished, will you let me join then?" Rikka cut in.  Fubuki paused for a moment. "Yeah, sure. Knock yourself out." His attention then returned to the stadium in front of him. Rikka started jumping in excitement. "Thanks! It means a lot." Yuuta said. "She may not look like it, but when she gets into something, she gives it her best."

Fubuki looked at Yuuta and saw a launcher hanging from his side. "And how about you?" Fubuki asked. "What do you mean?" "You're a blader aren't you?"  Yuuta tracked Fubiki's gaze and pulled out Leviathan. "Yeah, but it's been a while." Fubuki slowly started to walk towards Yuuta and Rikka. "Well, you're welcome to join the beyclub." Fubuki walked past them and headed for the door. "Thank you again!" Yuuta shouted.

Just as Fubuki was about to exit, Sam burst through the door and bumped into Fubuki, causing him to fall over. "Hey, pal! Watch where you're going!" Fubuki shouted. "Oh, sorry about that, I'm looking for Fubuki Sumie." Fubuki's eye twitched as he stood up. "Well, you've found him..." he replied. Sam's face was frozen when he heard Fubuki's statement. "Crap," Sam thought. "I may have messed big time." "Hey, Sam," Yuuta said. Sam looked at Yuuta and Rikka and he felt relieved.

"Oh, hey Yuuta. And Rikka. So, are you one of my fans now?" "Nope, not in a million years." Rikka quickly stated while holding her palm out. "Oh, come on!" It was obvious Fubuki's attitude was starting to change from calm to annoyed. "Look, just who do you think you are?" Sam turned around and pulled out Cosmic Orion. "The name's Sam. I'm the best blader around!" Fubuki's tone of voice changed. "Yuuta, would you say that's true?" Yuuta put his hand over his eye. "Not even close. We met this morning on the train ride here and we battled, but he lost to me with a burst finish." "If I remember correctly, I at least had 1 point," Sam said.

"You said that it had been a while since you battled. How long is 'a while'?". "A little over two years I think." Yuuta replied. Fubuki crossed his arms."Pathetic. You not only lost to someone who hasn't even touched a bey in two years, but you lost with a burst finish. No offense." "None taken." Sam's face turned red. "Well, he's a really strong blader" "Was that supposed to be a compliment?"  Yuuta thought

"Look, I just want to know if I can join the beyclub." Sam said. Fubuki sighed. "How about this. Since arrogant people like you really get on my nerves, if you can beat me, then you can join." "Ok! We got this in the bag!" Sam rushed past Fubuki to the beyclub. Fubuki walked slowly through the doors. "Well, I have a feeling that this battle is going to be pretty entertaining. We'd better go too" Yuuta said. Rikka nodded.
