Chpt. 7 The Memory of The White Tyrant

When Yuuta walked into the city he thought about his former days when he was known as 'The Shogun'. Yuuta and Leviathan were the best there was until something happened that even Yuuta didn't expect. During the last battle at the world championships two years ago, Leviathan was shattered by his opponent's bey. Ever since then Yuuta promised to become the strongest. But after that battle, Yuuta never launched a bey until recently when he joined Beigoma academy. Yuuta stopped in front of the bey parts store and went inside. There were a lot of people there, looking at all the parts and launcher accessories. Yuuta walked up to a glass case where most of the launchers were on display. There were string launchers, long winder launchers and launcher grips. At the end of the case Yuuta saw a single red sword launcher. Then a blader walked up to him. "Hey, if you're looking for a launcher you might want a string launcher or a dual threat launcher. But those sell out really quickly" the blader said. Yuuta turned to him and said, "yeah, mine broke. But why is there only one sword launcher?". "With the digital sword launcher out people kind of just jumped to it. And I can see why. I have one at home and it has a super long winder. Plus you can see how hard you launcher too. Pretty cool if you ask me". Yuuta looked back at the sword launcher. "Thanks for the advice". "No problem" the boy replied. Yuuta stared at the sword launcher for a few seconds. Then, his phone started to ring. He took out his phone and looked at the caller ID. It was Principal Shinoda. He answered the call and said, "Hello Principal Shinoda. How are you". "The principal, in his office , stood in front of a window and replied, "Hello, Yuuta. Is this a good time?". "Yeah, I'm just at the Beyblade shop in town. My launcher broke before a battle so I had to get a new one. Why, what's going on?". The principal hesitated to speak for a moment. "Oh, nothing serious. It's just that Rikka... Well, I think it would be better for you to see for yourself". "Oh no" Yuuta thought. "Don't tell me this is what I think it is". Yuuta paused before speaking and said, "I'll be right there". Yuuta hung up the phone and ran back to the school. When he arrived, he saw something that for most people would be unusual. But in Yuuta's case, this was a frequent sight to see. At the highest point of the school stood Rikka looking over the town into the ocean. Yuuta walked beside Principal Shinoda who was standing in front of the school as well as almost every student and faculty member of the academy. The principal looked at Yuuta as he walked towards him. "Ah, Yuuta. I don't suppose you know who that is?". Yuuta looked up and saw Rikka sitting on the edge of the top. "Well, sir. Judging from that phone call and what my eyes can see, that would be Rikka". "And, do you know how she got up to such heights?". "She climbed a lot of things back where we used to go to school". The principal looked back up at Rikka. "I see. So you're not surprised at this?". Yuuta shook his head. "No, can't say I am sir". Yuuta then walked into the school and ran upstairs to the top. When he opened the door to the roof, he saw Rikka sitting on the edge. "Rikka!". Rikka looked behind her. "Greetings, Dark Flame Master" she said bluntly. "Stop calling me that. What are you doing up here anyway?". "I should be asking you the same question" she countered. Yuuta did not say anything. After a moment, Rikka realized that she wouldn't get an answer from Yuuta. She then looked beyond the town into the ocean and said, "The portal between my partner and I is almost ready to be crossed. I am just waiting on a messenger to bring word of their arrival". Yuuta sighed before climbing up. "Are you trying to say that you're waiting for the postman to bring your bey?". When Yuuta reached the top, he slowly walked over to the edge of the building and sat beside Rikka. Rikka paused before speaking. "Can you see it? The invisible boundary line?". Yuuta looked at Rikka and then to the sky. I can't see anything past this realm. At least not while your eye is hidden". "I see" Rikka responded. A moment later the door to the roof opened. Fubuki entered and walked towards the wall. "Hey, guys. Sorry to interrupt but there's something you might want to see" he said."Oh, sorry about that". Yuuta, Rikka and Fubuki exited the roof and went to the beyclub. All the beyclub members were gathered in front of a large screen. Suoh looked behind him and saw Fubuki. "You're just in time. It's about to start". Yuuta and Rikka made their way to the front. Just then the lights began to dim. One of the bladers picked up the remote to the screen and turned it on. Just then, a voice came from it. "Hey, hey, hey! We have some exciting news for bladers all around Asia! One of the members of the Supreme Four is starting a tournament to find out who is worthy of facing him!". The screen switched over to a live recording. In front of the camera was someone Yuuta never hoped to see so soon. "Lui Shirasagijo" the camera man said. "Do you have a message for the participants of the Longinus Cup?". "You want a message? Hmph". Lui began to walk away. "Wait! Please, just one sentence". Lui stopped, turned around, and grabbed the camera. "The weak should just go home! The rest will be my amusement. Get what you needed?". Lui then pushed the camera away and the recording stopped. Most of the room was in silence. Especially Yuuta. Rikka noticed and tried to speak but Yuuta slowly walked out of the room. Fubuki walked beside her and said, "let me talk to him. From the look on his face he seemed pretty angry". Rikka nodded. In the hallway, Yuuta stopped at a wall, and thought for a moment. The more he thought the more furious he became. Yuuta then pulled his arm back to hit the wall. Right as he was about to hit it, Fubuki grabbed his arm. "Before you decide to tear apart everything in your way, mind telling me why you look so angry?". Yuuta slowly pulled his arm away from Fubuki. "It's nothing". "You and I both know that's not true. If it was actually nothing we wouldn't be here right now". Yuuta slowly lowered his head and pushed pass Fubuki. "It doesn't matter". Fubuki looked at Yuuta as he walked back into the beyclub and took out Forneus. What do you think is going on?". A small flash of light appeared on Forneus and went away as fast as it came. Fubuki thought for a moment. He then walked back into the beyclub.

Rikka watched Yuuta from across the room. She could tell that something was bothering him. A moment later, Toko and Nika walked up to her. "Hey, Rikka" Nika said. Rikka however was lost in thought. Toko stretched out his arm and waved it in front of Rikka. "Toko, don't so that. It's rude!" Nika said sternly. "Ah" Toko said. "Sorry about that, sis" After a moment Rikka snapped out of her daze and looked at them. "Oh" she said startled. "Hello there". Toko and Nika looked at eachother and back to Rikka. "Are you okay? You seem pretty out of it". "Was it that obvious?". Both Toka and Nika nodded. Rikka looked to the ground. "I suppose you have noticed Yuuta's behavior?". Toko crossed his arms, while Nika tilted her head. "He seems pretty mad for some reason". "I think i have a pretty good reason why" Fibuki said as he walked towards them. "Captain?". Fubuki looked towards Nika. "Can I see your tablet for a minute?" He asked. "Sure" she replied while handing Fubuki the tablet. He opened the search engine and typed, 'Yuuta Togashi vs. Lui Shirosagijo'. Nothing seemed to appear on the screen. "Try searching for just 'Yuuta' instead" Toko suggested. But still, nothing seemed to show. "The Boundary Line Bureau has erased-". "Please stop" Fubuki interrupted. He thought for a moment and turned to Rikka. "What was Yuuta's nickname before he stopped beyblading?". "He was known as 'The Shogun'" she plainly replied. Fubuki replaced Yuuta's name with his title. This time, many search results appeared on the screen. The first result was a video posted two years ago, at the world championships. "I think this is it". When the video started playing, Fubuki skipped to the final round. "Alright boys and girls!" The annoncer said. "Are you ready for the final round of this exciting battle?" Immediately the crowd went wild. "Ok! Let's get ready to begin this exciting finale!". The camera then zoomed to the stadium. Lui was standing in front of a boy with leather brown clothing, and his hair shifted to one side covering his left eye. Lui smiled at the boy. "Get ready for the worst nightmare of your life!" He taunted. The boy did not say anything for a moment. He took out his bey and held it in front of him. "We can do this. Leviathan". "Leviathan?!". Toko, Nika, and Rikka yelled in unison. "So, that's Yuuta" Rikka thought. "Ready, Set!". The shouts of everyone in the audience echoed throughout the building. "3! 2! 1!". "Go, Shoot!". Both bladers launched their beys into the stadium. Nightmare Longinus raced around the stadium, going clockwise due to its reverse rotation. Leviathan, matching Longinus' speed, was riding on the inside of the stadium. "No wasting time! Leviathan!". Leviathan began to head straight for Longinus. Lui smiled. "Longinus! Tear that excuse of a bey to pieces!" Longinus dodged Leviathan's attack and hit the wall at full speed. The two metal dragon heads on Longinus' layer moved all the way forwards, and it changed it's course. "Here it comes!" Yuuta yelled. "Leviathan! Typhoon Wind!". "Longinus! Metal Dragon Crush!". Both beys headed straight for eachother. When they clashed, Leviathan burst instantly. "No way..." Yuuta said in disbelief. As the layer was still mid-air, it began to crack all the way down the middle until it broke completely in half. At that moment the whole room became silent. "W-what a surprising end to this exciting battle! It seems that the next blader moving on will be none other than Lui Shirosagijo!". Just then the video ended. "Looks like my theory was right" Fubuki said. "Yuuta's holding a grudge against Lui for breaking Leviathan". Rikka turned and looked at Yuuta from across the room. "Yuuta..." She whispered to herself.
