Chpt. 8 Advice From A Champion

Only a few hours had passed since the announcement of the Longinus Cup, and already the bladers in the Beigoma Academy Beyclub were training harder than ever.

 Yuuta was no exception. He had repaired his broken string launcher and also began his training. With every launch however, it seemed that he tried to break his opponent. It was as if his usually calm nature had been replaced by rage. Rikka, who was watching from afar could tell that something was wrong.

She wanted to help Yuuta with his training,  or at least calm him down. But how could she? Her bey wouldn't arrive until the day after tomorrow. And even if she had a bey, Yuuta ignored almost everyone there unless they challenged him. She needed advice.

So during lunch she pulled out her phone and sent a text to Dekomori. "Mjolnir Hammer, I am in desperate need of your assistance. Meet me at Rendezvous Point B after lunch". Dekomori responded and said, "Right away, Master".

After lunch, Rikka waited for Deko on the roof of the school building, once again sitting on the ledge as she did earlier. A few moments later she heard the door open and turned her head to see Dekomori pass through it. "Master, I have arrived!" she exclaimed.  "What is the emergency?" Rikka jumped down from the ledge to her servant. "Yuuta has been acting very strange recently" she said. "He battles with more ruthlessness than I've ever seen. He will not acknowledge anyone, including me." "That is quite unusual for the Dark Fla- I mean, the Shogun" Deko crossed her arms and thought for a moment. "Why not ask one of the other bladers to battle him for you? If the blader you choose wins then he will have to listen to you. I'm sure of it" she said smiling. Rikka then quickly ran towards Deko and hugged her. "Thank you."

She then quickly jolted down the stairs to the Beyclub. When she arrived, she scanned the room for the strongest bladers who might be willing to battle Yuuta. Her gaze then fell on Aiga who had just burst his opponent. She ran to him and jumped in front of him as he was heading to another stadium. "Excuse me" she said as she slid in front of him with her roller shoes. "Woah. Cool shoes. So, what's up?" "I need your help. Yuuta has been acting rather strange as of late. He doesn't seem to notice anyone including me. I'm worried." Aiga crossed his arms and then smiled. "So, let me guess. You need me to snap him out of it by battling him. Am I right?" Rikka nodded. "No problem. I haven't battled him yet. So I'm excited to see how strong he really is since everyone keeps talkin' about him." Just then, Rikka's eyes widened. "So you'll do it? Thank you." She said with a large smile on her face.

As Aiga headed towards Yuuta, he could see what Rikka was talking about. Whenever the other bladers tried to talk to him, he just ignored them as if they were never there. When he finally made his way to the stadium Yuuta was using, he pulled out his bey and held it to Yuuta. "Hey, Yuuta. How about a battle?" Yuuta, who was about to launch Leviathan, looked up at Aiga with an irritated look, and then back to the stadium. "Hey! Are you seriously going to ignore me?" He yelled. Yuuta slowly exited his launching stance and looked at Aiga again. "Don't be surprised if you lose" he said. Aiga began grinned. "All right! Let's do this!" He jumped to the other side of the stadium, took out his launcher, and loaded his bey. Yuuta did the same. 'Let's hope Rikka's plan works' Aiga thought. Toko saw the battle about to begin and ran over to the two bladers. "Hey, do you guys mind if I be the ref?" "Knock yourself out" Yuuta said keeping his focus on the stadium.

"Ok. Ready? Set!" "3! 2! 1! Go Shoot!" Leviathan and Aiga's Z Achilles rushed into the stadium, both on the outer edge. "Let's go Achilles! Z Shoot!" Aiga shouted as he swung his arms. Achilles then began to make a flower pattern. Leviathan, however, was quickly dodging its attacks. "C'mon Achilles. Faster!" Achilles suddenly sped up and hit Leviathan. "As if that would work. Counter it Leviathan!" "I won't let you!" Achilles caught up to Leviathan and began attacking repeatedly, pushing it to the edge. "Finish it Achilles. Z Buster!" Achilles then circled the stadium before heading straight for Leviathan, striking it with one of its metal blades, and sending it flying.
