The three awoke to the sound of Riley's annoying alarm ring tone. The song 'Despacito' blasting through the speakers as her tired eyes fluttered open.
Her head shot up and she frantically felt around the soft carpet she was slaying on to look for it.
Once she felt the cold glass of it on her fingertips, she picked it up and turned off the sound, placing it back next to her and sitting up.
Next to her was Maya, who, at the sound of the alarm, began to mumble curse words under her breath and threw a pillow over her face, wishing nothing but death at the sound of the over played song.
'Every. damn. morning.' She grunted as she threw the pillow that was on her face and sat up, slouching.
She removed strands of blond hair that were all over her face and placed her heavy head on Riley's shoulder.
'Good morning peaches.' Riley sang as she placed her head on Maya's.
Lucas, who was on the couch, raised his head and pulled the soft blanket that was over his body, higher up to his face, wishing he could have gotten a few more hours of sleep.
'Good morning Lucas.' Riley said to him.
He replied with a closed eyed smile and then sat up just like them, his head reclined back, eyes still closed.
'Is education really that important?' Maya asked, eyes still closed, cuddled up to Riley.
Riley laughed and kindly moved Maya's head off of her shoulder and stood up, bringing the blanket and pillow she had used with her.
She folded them neatly and placed them in a corner of the living room and began doing the same with Maya's blanket and then grabbed Lucas' and continued.
'Yeah, I mean, I really wouldn't mind working at a gas station or something. I bet they'd give me discounted gas!' Lucas said, eyes finally open, a groggy smile on his face.
Maya nodded her head and smiled along with him. 'With the way gas prices have risen, I definitely wouldn't mind that.'
Lucas raised his brows, agreeing with her statement and Riley grunted.
'Get your lazy butts up and get dressed. And I am not going to repeat myself.' She said in a motherly tone, both hands on her small waist.
Lucas and Maya both slowly stood up from where they were sitting and stretched.
Maya's arms went up and she was on her toes, stretching her back, linking her hands together and sighing in satisfaction as she hunched her back once again and scratched her stomach.
Lucas walked over to the kitchen and helped himself to a glass of water as the two girls watched him.
'Yeah, you go on and feel right at home Lucas.' Maya said with a chuckle as she helped Riley put the blankets and pillows in the hallway closet.
He looked over at her and winked, half of his face hidden by the raised glass to his mouth.
He finished his water and cleaned his wet mouth with the back of his arm, going back to the couch and grabbing his phone.
'I should get going if I wanna have time to shower.' He announced, going over to the coffee table they had moved the night before and grabbing his keys and wallet.
'Do you wanna meet back here once you're done?' Riley asked him, walking over to him and running her fingers through his hair.
Maya and Lucas looked at eachother and then at Riley, a look of confusion on both of their faces.
'Uh, yeah. I can meet you two here,' he paused and looked at Riley who was still standing in front of him, 'Was there something in my hair?' He asked her as her cheeks went red of embarrassment.
She stepped away from him and nervously chuckled. 'I'm sorry,' she said, 'I've been wanting to do that simg we met. It just looks so soft and cloud like, I had to touch it.'
Lucas laughed and put his belongings in his pocket, going over to Riley and ruffling her straight, brown hair.
'You could've just asked.' He said as Maya chuckled.
Riley nodded her head, completely embarrassed at what she had done, going over to the couch and sitting down, placing her hands on her face.
As the two blondes looked at eachother and chuckled, they walked over to the front entrance of the house.
'Bye Riley!' Lucas yelled out as Maya and him walked outside.
They walked shoulder to shoulder all the way to his car until they arrived. The walk to his vehicle was short but peaceful in a way that Maya couldn't seem to describe.
He would glance over to her and then bump her shoulder with his as she would roll her eyes and then do the same.
'I'll be back by 7 so that we can all get breakfast together.' He said to her, playfully hitting her shoulder.
He unlocked his car and once he started it up, music started playing from the speakers and Maya's eyes grew wide.
'No way,' she said as she opened the passenger door and sat down, 'You like Twenty Øne Piløts?'
He chuckled and nodded his head, 'Heck yeah, I absolutely love them.'
Tear in my Heart began to play and Maya smiled like crazy, 'Riley and I are obsessed with them, like, crazily obsessed.'
'My kind of girls.' He said to her as Maya got out of his car and closed the door.
He jumped in his car and buckled up, rolling down the passenger window so he could get a better look at the blonde who was now leaning on the open car window. 'So, we'll go out to eat at 7?' He asked her.
'Riley and I actually make breakfast whenever either one of us sleeps over.'
'Then I'll see you two here.'
They said they're goodbyes and he drove off, Maya staying outside until she could no longer see him.
She walked back up to the door, slowly, a large smile on her pretty face. I cant believe we got so lucky with Lucas, she thought to herself as she suddenly felt her phone vibrate in the pocket of her green Packers hoodie.
She saw it was a message from Lucas and she smiled even more, unlocking her phone to read what it said.
