Both girls awoke to a new day in each of their beds, eager to start their day.

Maya had decided that she would be playing the friend card. Being his friend but an extremely close one. That would reel him in.

She showered and blow dried her hair, making very lose curls in them and brushing her teeth, deciding on zero makeup and walking over to her large closet.

She grabbed a plain, black, short skirt and placed it on her moisturized legs and slid it on. The skirt was above her knees and she twirled around in it, excited.

She grabbed a blue and white striped button up that had only one small button on the neck and a black and white flowered pocket, she folded the sleeves up to her elbows and tucked it in the skirt.

She finished off the outfit with some black, open toed, thick heels and looked at herself in the mirror.

She blew herself a kiss and walked to her bathroom, deciding that a little bit of mascara and chapstick wouldn't harm anyone and grabbed her small, black, backpack and walked out of her bedroom, walking down the stairs and into the two car garage.

She unlocked her car and got in, pulling out of the driveway and starting her short route to Riley's house.

Twenty minutes away from Maya, Riley was in her room, sitting on her carpeted floor, painting the last of her toe nails purple.

'Havana' by Camila Cabello was blasting through her tv speakers and she stood up to do a little dance before going over to her closet and putting her shoes on.

She untied the straps of the open-toed heels and slipped them on her freshly painted feet and strapped them back on.

She stood up and went over to her mirror and smiled at herself. She was wearing a white, long sleeved blouse and a red, short skirt that went way above her knees. She tucked the shirt into the skirt put her hands on the skirt.

The skirt was a velvet texture and had stripes in them that she loved to touch.

Her hair was straight and she had lipgloss and mascara on, her signature look.

She walked out of her closet and over to her bed where her bag was and grabbed it, making sure everything she needed was there.

Once she double checked, just to be sure, she walked down her stairs and grabbed an apple and sat in her kitchen, making a plan in her head.

Riley had decided she wouldn't hide anything and flirt with him non-stop, giggling and twirling her hair everytime she would see him.

She was gonna act dumb around him and make him fall in love with her.

She chuckled to herself and took a bite of her apple.

'Eugene is mine, Maya.'

Once she took the last bite of her apple, she heard a honk and she threw the core away, walking outside and getting into Maya's car.

Maya raised a brow at her and chuckled. 'Looks like we both decided on wearing short skirts today.' Maya said with a small laugh as she looked at what her best friend was wearing.

'I'm dressed to win Maya.' She said as she shrugged her shoulders and winked at her.

Maya laughed and the two drove to school singing along to the songs on the radio, talking about everything but Lucas Friar.

The two girls arrived to their high school and walked hand in hand into the building.

'You ready to lose?' Riley said to Maya as they both walked towards their lockers.
