Percy's POV
"MOM! DAD!" I screamed through the empty, smoking building. "Crap." I said under my breath.
"Percy what-" but Annabeth was cut short by a call from down the hall.
"Perseus is that you?" I heard my brother yell.
"Triton thank the gods!" I yelled back. "I have Annabeth and her friend Thalia, where are mother and father?" I had to make my way through the halls carrying Annabeth and pulling Thalia behind me until I reached Triton.
"Percy, thank the gods. They're moving to the northern wing of the palace to set up a battle station. Come on we have to get moving." Said Trition briskly. I started to pull Thalia along when she let go of my hand, "Thalia you can't swim fast by yourself." I warned.
"I will be perfectly fine by myself thank you very much mer-boy." She huffed but eventually settled on holding onto Annabeth's elbow.
*time skip cause I never do them*
Annabeth fell asleep in my arms as we travelled through the palace. Everything was usually so busy with work and life, but now it was still and empty. I held Annabeth close to warm my chilled body. We finally reached the war room and swam inside to find it bustling with tense energy. I looked to see my father pouring over maps and looking more worn and wary then usual.
"Father, uh, Poseidon this is Thalia and the sleeping one is my uh- Annabeth." I said to him. Amphitrite immediately rushed over to me and embraced me still holding Annabeth.
"Percy, we are so glad you have returned." She said embracing me again.
"Are you hurt my son?" My father said but my reply was cut off by Thalia who I hadn't realized was looking at my parents like they had three heads.
"Y-you are P-Poseidon and that means you must be Amphitrite, holy crap I must have hit my head really hard." She said sitting down holding her head in her hands mumbling to herself.
"What's wrong with her?" Asked Triton with a smirk, "she looks like she has never met a god before." He laughed.
"She hasn't, she's mortal shell head, where do you think I found her, on Olympus?" I said, annoyed by his sheer stupidity in the situation. He shut up after that.
"Boys we have important matters to attend to. Percy I will take Annabeth to a sleeping chamber you are needed here." Amphitrite said holding out her arms.
"No, Luke came after her I need to protect her." I said not wanting to leave her again.
"Percy, she will be fine I will have-" but I cut her off.
"I love-don't want her alone, I just found her again I can't lose her." I looked at her desperately pleading.
"I will have Thalia be with her and she will just be in the room next-door, they both need rest." I watched as Amphitrite took my love away and I turned to my father.
"Tell me what happened son." So I told him the whole story.
Annabeth's POV
I woke up to snoring, Thalia's snoring. I sat up quickly and realized I wasn't in our apartment, then I remembered the events of the day and got up to see some clean clothes laid out for me. There was a silky flowing yet fitting gray silk dress for me. I swam over and changed, something didn't feel right. I looked down to see that my legs had turned into a dark grey, storm grey tail.
"PERCY!" I screamed to hear a crash from next-door and the door banged open.
"Annabeth are you-" he stopped short when he saw my tail. His jaw dropped open. "Anna...how did you...you." He just sat and stared. Two more people rushed in, a merman a little older then Percy and a older looking yet stunning mermaid.
"What's wrong?" They yelled in unison. Then they noticed my tail.
"Annabeth, dear, I am Amphitrite. Nice to meet you." The mermaid came over and shook my hand, Percy was still frozen in shock. "Sorry about my sons, they are a little rude sometimes." The merman now looked as shocked as Percy.
"Um, excuse me, what the heck happened to my LEGS!" I screamed.
"You are Percy's mate dear, you had to grow a tail and gills to live underwater. Just be happy you didn't turn out the other way around." Amphitrite said jovially. I looked at her in shock, I now had a freaking tail
"Mother!" Percy said broken from his trance. "Annabeth, I think you look great." Percy said blushing ever so slightly.
"Smooth, Percy, smooth." The merman said with a smirk. "I'm Triton by the way, I'm that kelp brained merman's half brother. Same father different mothers." He held out his hand and I shook it . I stared at my new appendage and flicked it a couple of times to see how it worked.
"We should head to the war room, your father will where we have gotten to." Amphitrite swam out followed by Triton.
"You can stay if you want." Percy said quietly.
"I'd rather be with you." I said hearing a sigh of relief from him. "I guess we should go." I said, then I heard a loud sound come from the other bed. Thalia had slept through the whole thing. "I'll explain it to her when she wakes up." I said taking his hand and we swam next door to the war room.
