Chapter 2: "Normal"

I heard the door open and I knew it had to be Scott. He hadn't return from the lake.
The Next day I realised it was Friday, to tell the truth I was nervous. She erupted something in me, something that I've never felt for any girl before. I got up out of bed and took a cold shower. "Josh, hurry up, you're going to be late for school", my mom yelled as she banged on the bathroom floor. Annoyed I got out of the shower and put on some clothes. I walked to the breakfast table and grabbed an apple ( seeing that I didn't have time for a proper breakfast). "Where are my key's ?", I asked. "I took it, and you will only get it back when I see an improvement in your schoolwork ", my dad answered taking a sip of his coffee. "You're kidding right, how am I suppose to get to school!?",I yelled. I nearly lost my temper and tried to stop myself from throwing the table over."Scott will take you",he said putting his cup down and finally looking at me. Scott grabbed his key's and gave my mom a goodbye kiss. "Lets go Lover-boy", he said patting me on the back. I followed him to the car." No goodbye?",my mom called after me. I ignored her  and climbed in the passenger seat of Scott's Land Rover. "Look , it's not mom's fault -",he said getting into the car. "No it's her husband's ",I snapped back. As Scott started the engine I took out my earphones and played some music.
I arrived at school and then removed my earphones. "Look don't pay attention to dad,he's just a little-" he paused struggling to find the right words. "Well you know what I mean"." If  you need anything like borrowing the car ,don't hesitate to ask ", he said. I nodded and then shut the door. Zayn caught me at the entrance." Hey, saw Scott dropped you off. What happened to your bike?" "Rageur Slyde. That guy is impossible at-", I stopped talking when I noticed Kieth  and Annabell arguing. Catalya and Bianca appeared next to us. "Do you know what they're arguing about?",I asked." We were hoping you guys might know", Bianca answered. Kieth placed his right hand on Annabelle's cheeks if they were about to kiss. Could this be what Kieth was hoping for. Surrounded by the rest of the students,it was as if they didn't care about the rest of the world. I admit I felt jealously creeping inside of me. I thought of what a great couple they would be and then I reached out to grab Catalyas hand. She squeezed it.  I'm surprised she didn't let go, instead she moved closer to me, which created a weird feeling in my stomach. We kept watching just as Annabelle took Kieths  hand and placed on his chest. Then she ran and Catalya left my hand as she and Bianca followed her. "Anna! Wait!", they called after her but she just kept on running. "What was that?", Zayn said gripping my shoulder. "I don't know  what you're  talking about?", I tried to sound more convincing but failed. "Dont play dumb Josh. That girl you were talking to, Catalya Damon", Zayn snapped. "Its none of your business !", I snapped back. "It becomes my business when you make stupid decisions that affects the pack". I wanted snap back at him again but my attention turned to Kieth. I started walking towards him when Zayn grabbed my shoulder." If Kieth and Annabelle can't walk out then you and Catalya won't either." I pulled my arm away aggressively.  I continued  walking towards Kieth and Zayn followed. "Whats wrong?", Zayn asked. "Just drop it. You were right," he said then walked away ,his head hanging on the ground. When Kieth had gone I grabbed Zayn by the neck," What did you do?"" It's his own fault. I warned him like I'm trying to warn you. He didn't listen its not to late for you", Zayn said while gasping for air. I let him go.

I had business  first. It wasn't my choice but if I wanted to see my bike again I had to attend all my classes.

'BAM' We bumped into each other on our way inside the class."Again", I said pampering my forehead."Catalya", Zayn appeared. "Zayn" she greeted  with the fakest smile ever. Clearly they don't get along." Still a clutz ", Zayn teased." Gee, I don't know are still a coward ", she said still smiling. "Well, maybe Julian-" " You have a nerve",she interrupted him. "Josh ,I'll see you later because I might do something that I might regret" Zayn patting me on the shoulder. "You say it as though you think you could actually  harm me",Catalya said giggling. Then she stepped inside the class. "She is such a ..." " Hey" , I interrupted him. I stepped inside the class and took a seat next to Catalya. "Sorry about Zayn",I whispered.  "Its okay",she smiled back." Have you found out what happened between Annabelle and Kieth",I asked. "No , she just kept muttering something that neither of us could understand", she answered. "You don't think that maybe they ...dated?", I asked. "No she would have told me", she answered. We gave each other a long stare (as if we were thinking of the same thing). "No", we both said at the same time.Bethany was in the seat in front of me. "Hi Josh"she greated in a sweet tone. "Look I know you said no but please I just want to get to know you", I said I just really wanted her to say yes. "I don't know I hardly go out",she said thinking about her decision. "It doesn't have to be long please", I begged desperately. "Oh, hey Lya didn't see you there", she said in a more harsh tone. "Hi Brenda" she said with her fakest smile. "It Bethany", Bethany said annoyed. "Just like I'm Catalya", she snapped back. "I suggest you watch your mouth because you are all alone. Where are your friends? Oh ,yes crying in the bathroom because they got dumped", she said giving her friend a high-five. Catalya did nothing she just stared into the distance. Finally snapping out of it she raised her hand and asked,"May I have a bathroom pass?" " Okay fine", the teacher said. "16:00. Riverside park", she said getting up. I gave her a confused look. "Meet me there", she said rolling her eyes. Catalya grabbed her bag and then sprinted out of the class. "Catalya leave your bag" the teacher called after her but she was already gone.  I couldn't help it I pumped my fist into the air. She agreed to meet " I think you got to her ,Bethany ", Bethany's friend said and the duo laughed. I never saw her after that again. Maybe she will show up at the park.
