After breakfast and a lot of medical check-ups plus tons of questions ni manang ang nilagpasan ko bago tuluyang maka alis upang pumasok na sa klase. Actually, at first they didn't agree na pumasok ako because of what happened.
But I insisted. Ayos na ako ngayon at saka it's just small wounds on my elbow and some on my forearm besides that, I'm fine.
I appreciate them taking care of me more than I deserve. All their sacrifices I haven't witnessed but I know there is, their unlimited service, day or night and their endless concerns for me. I couldn't ask for more from them.
Hindi lang talaga maalis sa isipan ko ang napanaginipan. For a mere human like me, having such power is utterly dangerous and if not handled well...well, what I saw and what my parents told me could no doubt happen.
And I don't...I don't want to wake up one day to know that I was the reason all of them will cease to exist. Everything will be lifeless because of my chaos. The curse.
Just thinking about it makes me feel sick.
I shifted on my seat while looking outside from the car's window. I can feel eyes on me from ate Mik, Jay and Eman. I know they're all worried and they're bad at hiding that.
While on the road papunta sa school laman ng isip ko ang sinabi nina mom and dad.
"You must take back what's yours."
I don't understand why I have to take back chaos. The curse who can take and give life at the same time. Whom should I take it away from?
I gulped and blink back the tears starting to form around my eyes when I saw again the bodies piled unto more dead bodies. Falling from the whirpool-looking black hole from red and fiery orange cloud of chaos.
"If you can't control it, no one can stop you."
I gasped when haunting scenes from my dreams flashed in my mind.
"That is the truth about your curse, Nerissa."
Madali kong tinakpan ang bibig when I feel like throwing up. I heard ate Mik calling my name at umiling lang ako. Assuring them I'm fine.
"Only you could stop this."
Wala sa sarili akong umiling. No, stop. I won't let that happen to them. I'm not going to kill them. That won't happen.
