Jake's P.o.v

I stand in the corner of the room watching everyone enjoy themselves. Diana hasn't been feeling well so I had to come to this event by myself. I actually miss her. She would be whining about how bored she is and how much she wants to go home.

Lyle and Alexandria were busy greeting people.

A bubbly brunette approached me. She smiles at me with lust and desire.

"Hello there handsome. You shouldn't be standing here alone. Let's find somewhere quiet" she exclaimed batting her eyelashes seductively.

I turned and made my way outside. I sat down by the fountain and immediately drifted off into another world. A world with me and Diana.

So many marriages start out amazing, but then a few years down the line the  crumble! I don't want that to happen to us. I want us to grow old together. Until death, do us part. I planned to make her happy! I don't want to ever make her cry unless it's tears of joy. I want her to be able to talk to me about everything. I want us to play together, prank each other, tease each other. I want her to trust me! What I have is here. Sh-

"Son!" my thoughts were suddenly interrupted. I turned around and crossed my arms.

"Mother" she walked towards me and surprisingly she hugged me. After pulling away a huge smile spread across her face.

"How are you son?"

"Why are you here?" I asked in a stern tone.

"I'm here to apologize. I was a terrible mother. I should have spent more time with you. I should have loved you.  I should never have treated you the way I do because of your father leaving. I'm sorry for hurting your girlfriend"

"Fiance" I exclaimed correcting her. She bowed her head low.

"Congratulations my boy. She's a sweet, beautiful girl. She's perfect for you"

"Well... that's why I'm marrying her"

"I love you and I wish there was some way I could get you to forgive... maybe coupe years later" I didn't respond. She nodded slowly and started walking off. I stood there debating on what to do. How sincere is her apology though? I don't know if I can trust her though. She has done so much to me. Maybe it's time to forgive her!

"I forgive you!" I shouted after her. She stopped and walked towards me.

"Really?"

"No" I said shoving my hands in my pockets. "But this is a start to our mother-son relationship."

Diana's P.o.v

"I miss him" I say in a depressed tone as Adrianna sat beside me. Marion stretched out in the sofa with her eyes focused on the ceiling.

"You two act like you can't be apart for a minute"

"It's called love" I replied winking.

"I can't wait for you two to get married. To see my beautiful cousin in that dress is going to be a joy!" Adrianna exclaimed excitedly.

"I know, right?"

"Please call me and tell me the details of your wedding night!"

"I'm going to pee" I said getting up. I was not about to have this discussion.

I stood up and immediately leaned over on the sofa.

"I feel dizzy"

Adrianna and Marion got up and rushed towards me. I sat down and placed my hand on my forehead. I felt as If I was going to black out. Marion went for a glass of water and I drank it.
