Anyway... let's proceed with the story

Jake's P.o.v

It's been two weeks since our life nearly fell apart, but now I'm doing much better, and so is Diana. I mean... she kept having a few nightmares, but other than that she's doing great. A lot have unfolded in my life in the past two weeks and I've made a few decisions. Life changing decisions.

One thing I'm sure about is not wanting to lose Diana. Yes we fight... but that's a part of life. I finally know what it means to feel loved. My mother is still in the country. Still trying to convince me that Diana is a bad choice, but I've learned to ignore her. Right now my priority is my family. The ones who stick by me through thick and thin.

I leaned forward in my chair and placed both hands on my desk. All the staff members sat there waiting for me to speak. Diana shot me a questioning look. I haven't told her the reason this meeting has been called. The only person who knew was Seth, Lyle and Vince they were also present at the meeting. I could feel my heart beating fast for what I was about to do.

About one minute later two members of the press walked in. Marion looked at me in surprise, because this is the first time I was going to say something to them other than go fuck yourself.

All the other staff members looked at me with wide eyes. I signalled to them men to start recording, then I spoke.

"Good morning, everyone. As you may know. This is my first time doing an interview with the press, because I like to keep my business private." I smiled at the eager looks I received from everyone. "You people have tried to get info on me for years, but without success. Now I'm here to give information to you, and this is the first and last time this will be happening" I took a deep breath. I have being seeing someone. She's in this room, also. She's my assistant, Diana Welsh" Diana's eyes widened. She froze to her spot. Everyone was staring at her. I could see how nervous she looked.

It was time. The right time. I wanted everyone to know that this is my girl. I'm no longer available, because my heart belongs to her. I needed everyone to know that.

I got up and held on to her hand and pulled her up.

"Anyone here has a problem with that, you can leave" I faced Diana and held both her hands. "I. Love. You. Miss Welsh. Always" then I kissed her.

Twenty minutes later

Diana paced the room nervously and kept taking deep breaths. Her forehead was sweating profusely. She kept rubbing her hands together and muttering to herself. I watched her in admiration. She has been doing this for about ten minutes.

She finally stopped with her back towards me. She stared out the window. Something I would do. I walked towards her and wrapped my arms around her waist. She tilt her head backwards against my chest.

"What's going through your mind pumpkin?"

"I just... I can't believe you announced that we are dating. I thought you said we should keep our relationship on the low"

"That was a long time ago. Things have changed. I love you. I don't want to lose you. Ever" I spun her around to face me. "You mean the world to me Diana... and I'm tired of hiding our relationship"

She wrapped her arm around my neck and kissed me.

"I love you Mr Grant" she whispered. She wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me in for a kiss. I gripped her waist and kissed her passionately.
