New Years

You and Mark were standing in Times Square in New York it was crowded cold and uncomfortable. There were so many people yelling talking loudly people smoking drinking dancing and you name it everything. You and Mark had been staying in New York over night for two days. Everyone was ready for the ball to drop after five minutes went by. "Mark we need to hold each other's hand we don't want to get lost" he tightly grabbed your hand and pushed through the crowd which was really hard. "I got you thanks" you said loudly in his ear so he could hear you. Everyone's eyes were on the clock just waiting and waiting it was 11:50 A.M ten minutes until the ball drops. "Mark I can't believe this year has gone by so fast it's crazy I felt like it was just 2012 and now it's almost 2019 it's insane this year has been amazing with you" mark had a huge smile on his face "Thanks so much it's been a fast year and I don't know what I would do without you" you wrapped your arms around mark to give him a big hug. "Look five more minutes it's almost the new year" you pointed at the 2019 sign on top of the ball drop "4 Minutes!" Mark and you were so excited to be seeing the ball drop for the fifth year.

3 Minutes Later
60 seconds on the clock before the new year "Ready to countdown with me mark" you were so happy "Yes I am never been so ready" 45 seconds. It seemed like the countdown was going so slow like you were in a trance 30 seconds everyone was slightly getting louder yelling every second "29!...28!..27!...26!..25!" Every second was louder and your ears began to ring from the thousands of people yelling. You and mark yelled loudly when it got to 10 seconds left on the clock "10..9...8...7...6...5" the last five seconds were intense as everyone screamed "5-4-3-2-1" the fireworks blasted into the air while the ball had officially dropped the music was blaring into a sea of thousands of people. You and mark grabbed each other and kissed each other not letting go as everyone yelled "Happy New Year!" Everyone was kissing and yelling happy new year it was finally 2019 and it was a new beginning of a new year.
