The Chase

(Loosely based off pain and gain)

It was a Saturday early afternoon and you just got home from grocery shopping. You went to the kitchen to grab and drink and a light snack. It was a long day so you went to the living sat on the couch and turned on the T.V. After awhile you kept flipping channels for about five minutes. Nothing was of interest to watch in T.V. Until you got to the news channel apparently there was a man running away from the cops that was being filmed. Some above helicopter and news team were filming from above as this man was running fast. The sirens were really loud and it seemed like they were getting closer to your house in real life and not on T.V. You frantically went to your window and looked out but nothing. You walked back to the couch and the man that was running from the cops was wearing grey hair pants with black stripes on the side and a white muscle shirt. Not being able to Recognize who the fuck it was he jumped off the side of a building and landed in a big ass trash bin got out and kept running down the road when you noticed "No it couldn't be" You were doubting yourself as the man panned off to a side street you realized it was the next street over until a new cameraman and a new angle you could see his face. You nearly fell off the couch "What the fuck please tell me this isn't happening" you then noticed that the cameras turned down your street and you knew this shit couldn't be happening right now. Mark bursted through the door shutting it locking all of the locks "Shit I'm so sorry!" You were pissed "Mark what the hell are you doing running from the goddamn cops" you were furious "I'm so sorry I can explain later please just trust me" you stood up with your arms crossed "How the hell do you expect me to trust you when there are cops outside of our house" walking to the window as you pulled apart the blinds just a little bit to not let them know your in there. The police had a loudspeaker "Mr.Wahlberg Step out of the house and put your hands up" the police repeated that about five times "Mark you need to leave the house I can't protect you in here" you walked back to him standing right in front of him "I can't go out there" he yelled right in your face "Why Mark why can't you go out there.. oh how about you tell me what the fuck You did you dumbass" you hit his arm "No I can't tell you right now please just let me stay in here" Mark begged but you weren't having it. Mark walked over to the kitchen grabbed a drink and then opened the downstairs door and then just disappeared. You were annoyed pissed and everything in between furious that he brought the police to your front door and still not knowing what the hell he did. You wanted answers and you were going to get them. You walked to the downstairs door to open it and then you realized it was fucking locked "Shit" You yelled hitting the door with your fist "I forgot the door locked from the inside now how am I gonna be able to open the door without the key that we never made" frustrated and pissed you heard a loud bang from outside so you ran over to the window pulled down the blinds and it looked like the police were running down the road along with the cop cars going fast. You assumed mark escaped from the basement and that they were chasing him down the road. After all that you went back to the T.V. To watch the chase "We have the suspect on foot at the nearest stop sign wearing a black mask on his face that wasn't there before he left the unknown house" the reporter had a view on him running downside the highway behind the bushes "I can't believe mark is doing this that little shit". Getting up from the couch you went to the front door to lookout just to make sure the coast was clear you opened the door went around the back of the house to check to see if any of the windows were open and to your surprise they were all closed nothing looked bothered or messed with. Your suspicions arises when you heard loud yelling down there "I can't do this anymore- you faintly heard at least two people having a heated conversation "I can't deal with this shit right now" you mumbled to yourself as you quickly ran back inside to the downstairs door. "Mark You better get up here right now!" You yelled assuming he was still down there "If Mark is down there then who is the cops chasing then.." you thought to yourself. You heard the news reporter on the T.V. Talking "The suspect Mark Wahlberg will be charged with one account of attempted murder and 2 accounts of First Degree Murder of a couple" you turned your head so fast shocked that he could ever do that. It was the worst thing to hear about your husband. You went to get a Bobby pin to open the door downstairs it worked you opened the door and everything was quiet "Mark!" You yelled out walking around you pulled back the white sheet and he was standing there with another guy who looked exactly like him "What in the hell is going on here mark explain yourself!" You screamed so loud as Mark was in full panic "I'm so sorry I can explain it's not what it looks like" he had his hands up telling you to back up but you got closer instead "Please tell me it's exactly what it looks like you using someone that looks like you to trick the cops" you felt backstabbed "No I'm not tricking the cops this is my..." he stuttered "This is Y-Y-Your what!?" You mocked him "My Cousin James he helped me find someone to switch so I could rest from getting chased and that's why I had him put a mask on and run out of the house" you rolled your eyes "James you need to leave this instant" he didn't seem to budge "I'm sorry but if I leave the cops will shoot me" James was scared "Well you probably should of thought of not to do this shit in the first place" you hit him on the arm and pointed up the stairs "Leave Now!" You grabbed your nightstick that was leaning at the brick wall and swung it at him "Fine I'm leaving" he said as James ran up the stairs and out of the house. "Mark this is how I find out that you murdered two people is on the news!" You were in rage "I can explain" you weren't having it at all "What's there to explain there are two people dead and you have some double pretending to be you being chased by cops what do you think is gonna happen when they figure out that's not you?!" You pushed him back into the wall "I just got so caught up in the moment it was an accident" you laughed right into his face "Accident.. so your calling first degree murder an accident bullshit I'm not stupid" you weren't gonna listen to him anymore so you walked back up the stairs as mark rushed behind you "I know I can't do anything to stop this but - he was cut off while you heard a loudspeaker outside of the house you knew they caught the other guy and he snitched "Mr.Wahlberg we know your in the house step out with your hands up" You went to sit back on the couch while mark went to the front door. You went back to watching the T.V chase came to the end as the reporter had his final update

"The police have caught the suspect, while the cops believed it to be Mark Wahlberg They realized that it was a decoy to put them off trail. The guy in the black mask was not Mr.Wahlberg the guy in the black mask name was Cameron Johnson a guy Mark had hired to take his place. Cameron had given us the info that he was in the basement of his house that the cops believed it to be a random house that Mr.Wahlberg had Broken Into. The cops are now at the house arresting Mr.Wahlberg the man that murdered a couple who he had stolen money from and used it to buy luxury items. They also retrieved another man connected to the murders James Westworth"

You were shocked from the news reporter Mark had his last words for you "I'm sorry I'm never going to see you again after all of this shit" he opened the door as the police came to grab him "Karma is a Bitch" you said while laughing as the sound of the police reading mark his rights faded in a distant.
