I used to live in West Virginia for about twelve years and I heard and read on my own about creatures that skulk about in the Mountain State as well as the spirits that will hopefully find peace.

Also known as the Phantom of Flatwoods and the Green Monster or as the Braxton County Monster is claimed to be an alien. The tales of this creature spread quickly along the Elk River region after an UFO supposedly wrecked near Flatwoods in 1952.
Children witnessed the event and along with a hairdresser actually ventured up to the crash site. When they reached the site they saw a towering figure coming towards them. The alien is described as having green skin and a reptilian head. It has no legs and hovers with a device. It is said that the people of the town actually blamed it for the reason that so many people got sick with a strange illness and also blamed the sickness on the sulphuric fumes that came from the site.
Other sightings have also been near Sutton, West Virginia.
