Ariana's pov

"Ariana I can't believe you cut again, you were doing so well" tori said, "Im sorry tori" I said, "Hey, it's all right, you'll be okay, everything is going to be fine" she soothed, bringing me into a hug and rubbing my back.

"Come on Ariana, show him you don't need him, in about 19 hours you're going to see him again, and you're not going to let him see how you're feeling, you're going to fake a smile and act as if you're okay" tori said, I nodded, "I can do this" I repeated over and over again.

"Come on Ariana our flight leaves in a half hour and we have to go through security" David said, "Just coming" I said as I hugged tori, "Bye tori, love you" I said as I pulled back and walked with David through security and everything, getting to the other side with ten minutes to spare.

"That was a long flight" I said to David as we got to the hotel room, "I know! Okay you have rehearsals in a half hour downstairs in the hotel studio thing" David said, "Okay, I'm just going to change into something else" I said, I went into my bedroom and stripped off my leggings and put on yoga shorts and a tank top, I then put socks and converse on, tying my hair into a messy pony tail and washing all my makeup off, it was only rehearsals.

I made my way down to the studio and saw the boys in there, "Hi" I said smiling a bit, "Ariana" Luke, Ashton and Michael yelled as they pulled me into a hug, I hugged them back before pulling back, "Ari I swear the pictures are out of context, I didn't cheat on you" Calum pleaded, "I don't want to hear your excuses, I saw the pictures and I saw what the girl tweeted" I said confidently, I wasn't going to let him see what he done to me.

"I didn't cheat on you Ariana, why don't you trust me?" Calum said, "Because the girl said she didn't even regret making you cheat on me, therefore you cheated on me" I said, "Ariana I never cheated on you" he said, "I don't care anymore Calum" I said, "Can we just rehearse?" I asked, the other boys nodded as we spent the next hour rehearsing our performance.

"Ariana you have an interview in an hour, go get dressed and make yourself presentable" David said, "Okay" I said sighing, I was so tired, I just wanted to sleep.

"He doesn't seem like a very nice person" Ashton commented, "He's alright I guess, he's just a bit snobby and acts as though he's better than everyone else" I said, "Im going to go get dressed" I added as I headed up to my room and changed into a cute dress and some flats, I straightened my hair and put on makeup, making myself presentable.

David and I made our way towards the place where the interview would take place, my makeup was touched up and my hair was fixed a bit, and then I was told to go out and sit on the sofa, I was told that the this would be live tv and I couldn't swear and all of that stuff.

"Hi everyone! Im Demi and I'm here with Ariana Smith everyone!" Demi said in her strong Texan accent, I smiled, "Hi" I said, "All right Ariana, lets talk about your new single with 5 seconds of summer, what inspired the song?" Demi asked, "Well my old manager Mark asked us if we wanted to do a duet and we all agreed, and then I don't actually know, we just spent a week working on a song and that's what came out of it" I said laughing a bit, she chuckled, "And what's it like working with the boys?" she asked, "Its good, they're really funny and lovely and just great to work with" I said truthfully, it was the truth.

"And what about working with Calum? How is that going?" she asked, "What?" I asked, "Well you guys have been on-off for like almost a year, and now he cheated on you did he not?" she said, I took a deep breath, "I don't want to talk about it" I said, "Oh come on, is it awkward? Have you two been arguing? What's going on?" she asked, "I already said I don't want to talk about it, it's my personal life" I said, trying to stay calm.

"Okay then, we have some questions from twitter" Demi said, "First of all, Ariana is it true you're performing with 5sos at the VMA's on Sunday?" she asked, "Yeah, we're performing somebody to you" I said.

The questions continued for about ten minutes before I was told we were off, "Thank you Ariana" Demi said, "No problem, always a pleasure" I said smiling, "Sorry for pushing you about Calum, I get that it's private, it's just that you're always so open with everything, like your past with cutting and stuff like that" she said, "Its okay" I said smiling, "Ariana we have to leave now" David told me, "It was nice meeting you Demi" I said smiling, "You too" she said as I left.

"Wow we're actually at the VMA's" I said taking my seat next to Calum, it wasn't my choice sadly.

"I know! It's so exciting" Michael said, I chuckled as I sat down, ignoring Calum and his protests about how he didn't cheat, "Ariana there's been a slight change of plan, you know how you were only supposed to perform and then if you and the boys' single won you would all go up and say your speech, well now you're presenting the winner of the artist to watch" David said, "Okay, so do I just go up and read the card?" I asked, "Yeah, i'll tell you when to go up, its before your performance anyway" David said, "What's the order of things?" I asked.

"First of all it's the best collaboration, which all of you are nominated for with somebody to you, then straight after that its artist to watch, which Ariana is presenting, and you boys are nominated for, and then it's your performance straight after that, but first there's other awards and performances, your streak is in like a half hour or so" David said, "Okay, so we just sit here until best collaboration is over, if we win we go up, if we don't I quickly go up to announce the artist I watch?" I asked, "Yeah" David said as he took his seat and we began watching the show.
