16. The rain's identity

"Who are you?"

"Good question, Tengfei."

"I know it is, but I'm looking for answers. You hold my daughter's body but the soul is different.."

Daughter and Father starts to converse, their words of exchange has some unwanted tension building.

"I am her but at the same time I am not, your daughter is in the verge of death and I exist to prevent her from death" Elias spoke to Tengfei, explaining the situation "Right now, she's probably going to him for the second time. Are you not curious to why your daughter is attempting to become an Lin boss, Tengfei?"

The raven haired gentleman could only gulp, he was naturally curious to why his daughter would do something so reckless, never in his wildest thoughts that her daughter would do unimaginable things. Part of him blamed himself for not being able to parent Elias properly, regretting that both them was mostly absent in her growth.

Elias didn't wait for the older male to answer her. Knowing that any parent would want to know why Elias would do such a reckless thing.

"A friend is trapped in a void. A space between different dimension, where time is still and yet moves at the same time. I'm sure you've already heard of the Sky arcobaleno's sudden disappearance, correct?" Elias explain to Tengfei.

"What does that have to do with Elias wanting to become a boss?" Tengfei furrows his brows, learning his daughter's intentions "or how you're possessing her?!"

"I only possess your daughter to protect her body and soul, in which she wasn't able to withstand Hei's attack, if I had not intercepted." Elias spoke, not answering Tengfei's question "Your daughter would have been long dead."

Who are you?

Silence dawn upon everyone, so it seem the monster they fear wasn't Elias after all.

"It's up to you whether you believe it or not, but your daughter travel to the future to stop a certain person." Elias continues her story to Tengfei a small summary of what's happening in her life "You're a smart man, Tengfei. I'm sure you're aware of Lin family's secrets and spells.."

The sacred temple...

The Lin family holds three sacred temple, each temple holds certain information. Tengfei was familiar with two out of the three temples since his father would take him in there.

One temple holds the power of Knowledge, where candidates or any Lin memebers are taught and learn Lin traditions, the other temple is holds the knowledge of Strength, where inheritng candidates spend their time to train, which is also the biggest of the three since it is where the succession battle happens.

While the third temple's size was ordinary, only exclusive to the Lin head and one of their most trusted aide. There has been no record of having the third temple being successfully infiltrated. No one else are able to access except for the Lin head alone, not even the even outsiders are unable to infiltrate the third temple.

Only leading them to their own demise, ending up either dead or never found. The third temple was known as the most dangerous and oldest temple out of the three.

From what Tengfei know, the third temple holds the knowledge of the Uncertain. Books that were personally written by the founding generation to older generations that experienced extraterrestrial or unexplainable events in their lives, there were even rumors that the founders wrote about books regarding opening a portal to other dimensions.
