FNaF 4 Guide(Updated)

I learned all of this from experiance. So don't doubt me.
In-game mechanics:
Audio is the number 1 key in this game. Unlike FNaF 1-3 where you didn't have, to have audio to play, you must have audio to play this game. It's better to have a quality headset to completely cover your ears and drown out noises around you and is made for directional hearing. I just use a pair of expensive, quality headphones and turn the volume all the way up. It drowns out noise around me and makes it easy to hear in-game noises and directional hearing included, but the loud volume makes the jumpscares just that worse. For computer, you move the mouse around to look left and right in the main room(standing in front of the bed) and click to move to a location. Ctrl to turn on the flashlight and Shift to close doors. Flick the mouse down on the bottom of the screen to go back to the main room, or turn around to face the bed. On phone,(which is how I normally play), you hold your finger on the right  to face face turn your flashlight beam on the doors, double tap on doors to go to them, tap the bottom left corner for flashlight, hold bottom right to shut doors, and tap the bottom-middle to go back to the main room or turn around. (Quality is much better on computer, but it's not that bad on phone)
Animatronics:
First let's talk about the advancements and locations.
Bonnie is found on the left hallway. He will advance forward when you hear 4 loud footsteps. They will found draggy and grainy. If you run to his door after hearing this and flash the light, Bonnie is at the end of the hall. If you hear 4 footsteps, but they are extremely loud and are very clear, (ie. Not grainy or draggy), Bonnie is at the door and you need to haul ass over there. If you don't, Bonnie will enter the room and finish the job. If you run to the door, you will hear breathing and need to shut the door until you hear another 4 footsteps indicating that Bonnie has walked away from the door.
The same applies for Chica, but she has 5 footsteps, not 4. She is on the right hall.  If you hear 5 loud, grainy, and draggy footsteps, she is at the corner of the hall, if you hear 5 extremely loud and clear footsteps, then she is at the door. Another top is that she has a little hitch in get walk. Do other sound like,  THUN THUN THUHUN THUN THUN. Kinda sounds like hey door drags in the middle of the steps. I you don't go to the door, her Cupcake will enter the room and finish the job.

(In United States, you eat cupcake,
In Soviet Russia, cupcake eat you)

Same applies with her walking away, 5 footsteps.
Foxy. Now he's a tricky one. A big common misconception is that Foxy starts out in the closet. He does not. So at the start, don't waste any precious time to run to an empty closet. He starts in the halls. You may hear him pacing back and forth between the halls. His footsteps sound like his running noise in FNaF 1. When he runs to your office, the run noise. His run noise in FNaF 4 sounds like that. If you're using headphones or a headset, then you'll be able to hear which hall he's in. If not, right to left is a slower run sound. Left to right is a fast run noise. If Foxy enters the room, he will immediately enter the closet. You'll hear very fast footsteps and then hear a door creak. Immediately run to the closet and shut the door. If you don't, he will kill you as soon as you turn away from the closet. Then you must then juggle him between the Freddies and the hall animatronics. But if you're skilled enough(like me) you can keep him out of the room. If you hear his run, the hall that you hear him,(if you hear him run to the right, go to the right hall and vice versa), then flash that hallway with your flashlight. If you hear breathing from one of the hall animatronics, feel free to shut the door as needed to not be killed, this will stop him as well. When flashing the hall that your hear him, you will on EXTREMELY rare occasions will see him at the corners of the hall but it is EXTREMELY rare. If he enters the closet, don't fret, he can still be stopped. After he enters the closet, if you run to it and flash him with your flashlight, he will jumpscare you. But it is not a lethal jumpscare, it just hurts the ears a little bit and startles you, but I repeat, it will not kill you. Foxy has 4 stages. The jump-scared phase, where he will scare you and his face will be very visible. He looks ready to dive out of the closet, head first. Then the crouching stage, where you will see his left in a crouching position, he appears ready to jump out of the closet, ready to go. Then the standing phase or the "hanging" phase where his claw is very prominent in the missed of the closet. Then finally the phase you should try to keep him on, the plushie stage, where he will revert to his plushie form. If you're in a pinch and need to push Foxy back, but need to get moving because of some other animatronics, know that he will be in the jumpscare phase the longest before he actually exits the closet to finish the job. But if you're in a pinch, feel free to leave him in the  crouching phase, or better yet, the standing stage. Or you may get lucky and he will revert to plushie phase in a few seconds. How fast he moves back is determined by a random number generator, so he may take a while to move back from jumpscare to stand but he could go straight from jumpscare to plushie. Foxy does what he always does in the other FNaF games. He creates tension and keeps the player on edge.
Now let's discuss the Freddies and Freddy. Over time during the night, the 3 Freddies will move from under the bed, to sitting on the bed. There are 3 at max, and if the 3 are left on the bed too long, they will form Nightmare Freddy and he will kill you. You have several fair warning to indicate that they're gathering. Your flashlight will flicker as they gather and you'll hear a faint screeching noise that will get louder the more there are on the bed. They serve kinda like the music box in FNaF 2. But instead of keeping it wound up, you keep it satisfied.
FredBear/Nightmare are only active on Night 5 and Nightmare mode or "Nightmare Night." When they're active, the game changes completely! Nightmare Bonnie, Freddy, Chica, and Foxy are ded and don't exist anymore on their nights. They both are active in all 4 location regions. Audio is vital to have during their nights, if you can't hear extremely precisely them you're fucked and will not be able to beat their nights!!!
If you cannot hear, or if there are distractions, DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS NIGHT UNTIL YOU ARE IN A WITH AREA THAT'S DISTRACTION FREE!
Directional hearing is especially vital during their nights. You must listen for their first and what direction they stop on. If you hear the footsteps start at the right, but stop at the left, then run to left door and vice versa. When you run to the door, shine your flashlight at your own risk. It is recommended that you use it, but it's risky. If you see FredBear/Nightmare in the hallway, slam the door shut immediately, but be ready to immediately let go and run to the other door. Repeat, they do not linger for a few moments like Nightmare Bonnie or Chica do, they immediately move as soon as you sir time for, so you must have quick reflexes and be ready to move. If you hear a laugh, that means that they have moved to the closet or on the bed. If their head is on the bed, then continue to shine your flashlight beam on it until it disappears. If you shine your light on one of them in the closet, them immediately shut the doors. Know that if you slip up or fuck up or slack off even one teeny tiny itty bitty time then expect immediate death, so you must be vigilant, quick, and extremely precise. Good luck.
Now let's wrap it up with Plushtrap. He is a small animatronic, probably only about 8 inches tall, and he looks like a kiddie version of Springtrap, but he is still dangerous. He only appears on the minigame,"Fun with Plushtrap" which is where you need to flash him with your flashlight when he runs on the X on the floor. You have 90 seconds(I think,I forget, so correct me if I'm wrong) to complete this task. It's pretty simple. Listen for his footsteps and have a fast finger to flash him in time.
Night changes:
Night 1-
This night is very quiet and relatively uneventful. But don't underestimate it. From 12 to 3am, don't expect much, but after 4am things get a little real. You'll normally deal with one attack on Night 1(hear breathing at least once) if your consistent at keeping them at bay at the end of the hallways. And if you're good enough, you might not be attacked at all.
Active animatronic(s) on Night 1.
Freddy (low),
Bonnie (low),
Chica (low),
Foxy (almost never)
Night 2-
This is when the game gets real. Expect 3-5 moves on the door. Foxy does become active during this night as well. Bonnie and Chica become much more aggressive and the Freddies move much faster.
Active animatronic(s) on Night 2: Freddy (medium),
Bonnie (medium),
Chica (medium),
Foxy (low-medium)
Night 3-
This night is much more challenging. All the animatics become much more aggressive and move faster. Expect about 7-10 moves on the door. Foxy will pace much faster and won't pass up an opportunity to get in the room. I am currently stuck on this night. I can't beat it. I rather for, or get to scared and chicken out.
Active animatronic(s) on Night 3:
Freddy (high),
Bonnie (high),
Chica (high),
Foxy (Medium-high)
Night 4-
An extreme challenge next to Night 5. Too many moves on the doors than I bother counting, Freddies are ultra quick, Foxy won't hesitate to slip in the closet and will be quick to get right back out. All animatics extremely
aggressive.
Animatronic(s) active on Night 4:
Freddy (extreme)
Bonnie (extreme)
Chica (extreme)
Foxy (extreme)
Night 5-
There's only one animatronic on this night, but don't underestimate him. He is a fast, ruthless killing machine that moves on all 4 locations. The rest of the normal cast back off during this night. It is only him. Don't fuck up, don't slack off, because he will end your night if you do.
Active animatronic(s) on Night 5:
FredBear:(extremely high)
Night 6-
A true challenge. All animatronics (minus FredBear of course) are active on this night and are faster and more aggressive than FredBear. It takes an extreme amount of speed, reflex, and skill to beat this night.
Active animatronic(s) on night 6:
Freddy (insane)
Bonnie (insane)
Chica (insane)
Foxy (insane)
Nightmare Night-
The ultimate challenge of speed, skill, reflex, and hearing. Nightmare is ruthless and acts like FredBear, but 10 times faster! This is not a challenge for the faint hearted.
Active animatronic(s) on Nightmare Night:
Nightmare (NIGHTMARE)
20/20/20/20 mode-
Probably one of the hardest things you will ever do in your life. All the animatronics(minus FredBear and Nightmare of course) are active and as far as Nightmare. This night will our so if your FNaF skills to the test.
Active animatronic(s) on 20/20/20/20 mode:
Freddy (NIGHTMARE)
Bonnie (NIGHTMARE)
Chica (NIGHTMARE)
Foxy (NIGHTMARE)
Tips and tricks:
PC- If you need to be quick, then when you run to a place and have to shut the door or anything like that, then put the mouse cursor on the bottom so that as soon as you let go of the commands key, the character will immediately run back without any delay. But be quick to move it in the way it else you'll auto turn around to face the bed. If your running towards a door, you can hold one of the commands keys so that as soon as the character gets to the location, he will immediately do the command. Do if I hold shift as I run to the left door, when I arrive I will immediately shit the door without any delays. But it is not recommended that you use this tactic with insta flashlight check. It could fuck you over. You can use it however when going to the closet. Use hearing to your full ability (odviously) and try to not die. :)
Mobile-(I usually play FNaF 4 on this platform so I know a little more about it then about PC)
Remember to double tap on the doors. You are able to act faster on phone because the character turns faster and responds to commands faster. You are much more mobile and can move around faster when playing on a mobile device. Make sure to take full advantage of this. Know this game won't annihilate your battery life like some games would, it actually doesn't use much. If you can, turn all notifications off when you play to prevent the visual and audio disturbance to you game experience.
General gameplay-
-Odviously be fast and listen closely for breathing and footsteps.
-In a pinch, always prioritize taking care of the hall animatronics. Foxy and the Freddies take a hot minute to become lethal.
I repeat hall animatronics are much more dangerous and quick than Foxy and the Freddies. I know this because I learned from experiance. (Night 3, 5am,I heard the footsteps indicating that Chica was at the door, but I was holding Bonnie's door shut and was waiting for him to walk away. After he did, instead of running to Chica's door, I turned and flashed the Freddies and there was only 1 on the bed. When I turned around, I had teleported to Soviet Russia and Chica's cupcake ate me. I should've prioritized Chica, but I choose to flash the Freddies instead.
-Do you absolute best to tune out any in-game audio distractions. Bells chiming, dog barking, static noises, weird animatronic noises, etc.

Sorry I updated it suddenly, I was playing FNaF 4 today and I realized that I accidently left out some really important details. I plan on posting a video of me trying (emphasis on trying) to beat Night 3 tomorrow, then post about the unique mechanics of Night 1 and 2 and guides for them. Jumpscare warnings for the peeps that are scary and jumpy.
