I am sad to report that the RIFA(Red Imported Fire Ant) Queen died today. She was the second and final one. I released the queenless colony. It will die soon without an egg laying queen. There were 2 queens actually, but the first died a while back. I don't know why both queens died. I provided them everything they needed. Food, water, heat, living space was provided to them, but they died for some reason anyway. I'm really upset and angry that they died. Now I have to wait until summer time to get another colony of ants.

I'M SO ANGRY!!! WHY DID THE QUEENS DIE! I GAVE THEM EVERYTHING THEY NEEDED!
And the colony was fairly young, so it couldn't've been age. And the colony showed no sign of mites, mold, or sickness.
*Sigh*
I'll go search the woods later. There might be some Winter ants or Black Carpenter ants active. But I'll likely have to wait until summer time to get my hands on a new colony of ants.....
