"What are you saying?" I asked, brows furrowed.

From across me, Snape exhaled loudly. "Harry Potter was spotted in Hogsmeade," He explained, sounding defeated. "I have reason to believe that he will try to get in here."

"So let him." I replied, as though it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Snape gave me a look, "And what do you suppose I do when he appears? When he accuses me and tells everyone I murdered Dumbledore?"

I didn't miss how he frowned at the name.

I shrugged, "Then you go along with it. Voldemort isn't dead. You need him to trust you."

Snape didn't respond for a while.

I stood up, inspecting his office. "Do you have sweets?" I asked hopefully.

"Dumbledore left some in the back drawer." Snape told me absentmindedly.

Elated, I went to grab a handful, before returning to my seat opposite the Headmaster. I offered him a sweet but he declined.

Then he straightened, "I've made up my mind. I will gather the students. Ask about this, so the Death Eaters don't suspect a thing."

"Talking about that, you're a Death Eater too. It never really occurred to me. Should I really be trusting you?" I wondered aloud.

"Should you trust Mr Malfoy then?" Came the reply.

I rolled my eyes.

Snape made a move to stand, but I stopped him.

"Well, you can't just gather them now," I said. "Wait a little. Let Harry Potter actually get into the castle. Tell me about Dumbledore. I need funny stories."

Snape narrowed his eyes at me, but he sat back down.

And he did tell me about Dumbledore. Many things.

Dumbledore was always a reserved man, he kept to himself a lot, but there were many things the world knew about the legendary wizard that I had never heard of.

Snape told me about Dumbledore's siblings, Ariana and Aberforth, and the unfortunate death of Ariana.

He told me about Gellert Grindewald, who I had heard very little of till that day.

And I listened.

I listened, while we waited, for Harry Potter to start the war.

I stood in between Pansy and Blaise.

As Snape had said, all students were gathered in the Great Hall.

"Just a while ago," Snape addressed all of us. "Harry Potter was spotted in Hogsmeade."

As soon as the words left his mouth, chattering arose. And just as quick as it had started, it died down.

My friends were silent beside me. I glanced up, frowning as I realised one person was not in sight.

"Where's Marcus?" I whispered.

Blaise shrugged slightly, before we returned our attentions to the front.

"Should any of you," Snape continued, looking from face to face. "Be it student or staff, help Mr Potter, there will be severe consequences. If any of you know of his whereabouts and refuse to come forward, consequences will be just as harsh."

I caught Snape's eye, before he turned away. He put on a pretty good act.

"If anyone knows of Mr Potter's movements, I invite them to come forward. Now."
