Throughout the castle, it was quiet.
I had never heard Hogwarts so silent before.
The Great Hall was packed with people, but we never spoke. We were all trying to digest what had just happened.
I looked up to see Harry Potter sitting with my brother and Hermione, a small smile on his face.
I turned to my right to see Pansy and Marcus sitting on the floor together, heads rested on each other.
Daphne was helping the injured and the weary, while I sat alone.
Looking around, I realised just how many we had lost.
And even despite that, smiles were growing on faces.
Exhaustion filled the room, but relief was greater.
We had won. Voldemort was dead. The war had ended.
I leaned back, wincing slighting at the pain from my minor wounds.
Smiling, I let myself rest.
