School is over. Summer has began.
Sixteen year old, Wendora is suffering through her summer, waiting patiently for school to start. Her crush Trey just doesn't seem to notice that she likes him.
Meanwhile...
I look up from my conversation with Coach Jackson as someone walks in the office.
Wendy and Alex are here. I look down at their hands. I scowl. I'm not in the mood for this.
Wendy is wearing a white dress that highlights her curves and makes my hormones go crazy. Damn hormones.
"We'll talk about this later, Trey. Now, what do you need Wendy?" He says and just like that I'm pardoned. He has always had a soft spot for Wendy. Everyone does.
Wendy is the kind of girl who is voted 'Most Likely to Succeed'. She is also the future Valedictorian. She always has all A's. I don't think she has ever had a B on a report card. My parents want me to be like her. To everyone's parents she is a role model.
I storm past them. I don't know why but, I'm angry at her.
I realized yesterday that I liked her. I thought she liked me, too. I guess I was wrong. To top it all off she showed up at the party with some dude that is now living next door to her. She likes him, I can tell.
She just... ugh! My God. I guess I'm just frustrated that she is interested in some dude she just met. I might be jealous but even throughout Carol's attempts to make me jealous, it just hasn't happened.
Yesterday we called it off again. Me and Carol, that is. I know we'll get back together soon, so I'm not worried about it.
I get in my car and shoot a text to my friend, Charlie.
Me: Coach is on me again. U wanna do something?
Charlie: Yea no how that feels. You up 2 surfing or something.
I forgot about surfing. I haven't been since last summer. I won a championship for surfing last year.
Me: Yea let's do it. C u there in 30?
Charlie: Yea
I pull out of the parking lot and head toward my house. I hear my phone ringing and I pick it up. It's my mom.
"Hello?" I say as I turn.
Shit.

Did anyone else picture the characters similar this? Of course the characters aren't perfect models like this but it gives you an idea.
