It had already been less than an hour since Truth had spied on the king, and some guards had busted through the door to the sin's barracks. They were all dressed like Lyconhighd soldiers, except for one which was wearing Paladin armor. Truth was surrounded at all sides by the normal guards while the Paladin searched for the others.
Truth had already told Wrath and Envy about the King's plan. Knowing that she would have the best chance of surviving, Wrath took the other sins to find the commandments. Until Truth knew that they had been caught, she was told to comply and survive as long as possible.
The Paladin came back with news that there was no one else in the barracks. The guards were all in a circle around her, pointing their weapons at her. She had her Hilt on the ground in front of her feet, and her hands in a surrendering position.
"Why do you surrender so easily? Does it look like we're going to spare you, at this point?", the Paladin asked. Truth remained silent, trying not to respond to him.
The guards moved closer to her, closing the circle. They stopped right as some of their swords were able to touch her. One was poking into her neck, another her thigh, and one was able to poke through the skin in her back.
"Why don't you answer? Why don't you rebel? Are you even able to?", the Paladin asked. Truth stayed quiet once more. "Damn it!, Why the hell don't you answer him!?" one of the guards yelled.
The guard froze up and grabbed his chest. He fell to the ground panting. Eventually he stopped and went limp.
"Even some of my own men forget about my ability. Fine, I guess you figured out about my 'Rules' ability. I'll deactivate it.", the Paladin said. The area turned black and white, and then back to color.
"Not many are able to figure me out that fast. Most people are already dead by the time I deactivate it.", the Paladin explained. Truth stayed silent, as the Paladin expected her to speak.
"Just take her to the king. I'm done asking questions that aren't being answered.", the Paladin stated.
The guards sheathed their weapons, and went to cuff her. Another guard ran in, this one in decorated armor, just as the cuffs sealed. He whispered something to the Paladin.
The Paladin started laughing. He put his hand to the side of his mouth and whispered into Truth's ear. "All the commandments, and five of the other sins are confirmed KIA. The other two are somewhere abandoning you."
Truth clenched her fists, shut her eyes, and gnashed her teeth. Then a bubbling feeling in her chest forced its way across her body. Then it all blew out of her mouth in a scream.
Her scream rippled the air itself, and shattered all of the weapons in the room, along with her shackles. When she was done she saw all of the guards and the Paladin passed out on the ground. Each having multiple cracks and breaks in their armors, and some that were too close to her had pieces distorted in weird shapes.
She felt tired and as if she was paralyzed. She fell on to what was left of her Hilt. Although the main part of the weapon was broken, the handle part with the owl symbol was completely intact.
She reached slightly to grasp it in her hand. Once she did, she felt a rush of magic essence flow into her. It wasn't anything close to how much she had, but it was enough to get her walking again.
She walked to the door and looked at the castle from there. She walked two steps more and felt a weakness in her knees. Then before her walked the king. "I see you must have been scared by those Lyconhighd soldiers. Scared enough to awaken your ability. Everyone complained about the noise, but it wasn't your fault. It wasn't your fault." She heard him say just before she passed out.
