Emma and her friends stopped for a break in a small town before continuing on to Viridian City. Emma was at a phone booth while her friends were near by sitting next to a fountain, and the Pikachu were playing with Togepi.

Ryan appeared on the screen, "Hello?" he asked. "Hey, big brother," Emma said with a smile. He smiled, "Hey, was wondering when I'll get to talk to you."

"Sorry I wasn't calling every now and then, got pretty distracted with stuff," Emma said, "I did talked to Jeffery, though." Ryan's Pikachu jumped into the screen with a smile, "Pikachu-Pi!"

"Hey, Pikachu," Emma said, chuckling. "Come on, buddy, I can't see," Ryan said and his Pikachu jumped to his shoulder. Jane walked closer and smiled, "Hey stranger."

"Hey Jane," Emma said. Jane looked at Ryan, "Did you tell her?" He shook his head, "No, not yet." Emma blinked, "Tell me what?" she asked. Ryan and Jane looked at the girl. "Well..." Ryan trailed off. Jane held up her hand, showing a ring on her finger, "Ta-da. We're getting married."

Emma smiled, "You are?! That's so great! When did that happened?" she asked. "Two days ago," Ryan answered. "That's the best news I've got all day," Emma said, "I'm really happy for you two."

"Thank you, and make sure to tell your friends that they're invited to the wedding," Jane said and gave a wink. "No problem," Emma said, "By the way, when is the wedding?"

"Since you traveling at the moment, guess we could do when you finally reach home," Ryan said and gave a small shrug. "Really?" Emma asked, "Well... we're heading back to Viridian City for Ash's final gym badge. We could come back right after."

Ryan froze while his Pikachu and Jane smiled. "W--Wait, it's a bit early," Ryan said. Emma smirked and waved as she ignored her brother, "We'll see you soon, bye!"

"Wait, Em--" Ryan started but Emma hung up. She giggled and shook her head before running back to her friends. Misty had let out her Horsea to swim in the fountain. "Hey, guys," the brunette girl said, making the Pokémon and her friends look over, "My brother, Ryan is getting married!"

Misty gasped as she stood up, "Really?!" she asked with a smile. "Yep," Emma said as the boys stood up and they smiled. "Wow, that's great news," Brock said. "Pika-chu, Pika!" Emma's Pikachu said as she jumped up and down in excitement.

"And you guys are invited," Emma said. "I can't wait to meet Ryan and Danny, and see your parents again," Ash said, "Wait until I'll show your father and brothers all my eight badges!"

"Togy!" Togepi said with a smile. "I can't wait to get back home to see everyone," Emma said, "And the wedding should be happening after we'll get there."

"Well, what are we waiting for?" Ash asked as Misty looked at her Horsea, "Let's get to Viridian City and get the badge, then right after we'll go back to Pallet Town."

"Hold on," Misty said and her friends looked at her. "What's the matter?" Emma asked. "Horsea doesn't look so good," Misty said worriedly. Emma, Ash and Brock looked over at Horsea, noticing it was looking sad and ill. "What's wrong?" Brock asked.

"Seems kinda sad," Ash said. "Maybe it needs more exercise?" Emma suggested. Brock nodded, "Once in a while you should make sure it will get to swim around in something bigger than a tiny fountain."

"But we're not near the ocean or any lakes," Ash pointed out as Togepi tagged on his jeans for his attention. Ash looked down at the Egg Pokémon before picking it up.

"And I can't exactly carry a big fish tank in my backpack," Misty said. "If there was only an Aquarium around here," Brock said. Emma suddenly looked at Misty, "Hey, hold on, what about Cerulean City? There's a huge pool back at your place."
