"Ariel, you are not a mermaid!" A doctor told her when she reached the asylum. "You have human legs. You're mind is just playing tricks on you."

"I am a mermaid! You have to believe me!" She yelled.

"Take her away." The doctor ordered.

They grabbed her arms again, and started pulling her away. "Please believe me! I am a mermaid!" Her eyes started to water.

"Ariel, we want your brain to be working correctly. I'm sorry."

Ariel pulled and tried to persuade him. "Please! Please!" She begged. He denied.

They threw her into a room. She fell to the ground. Her face was scratched, and bleeding from all the hesitating.

"Are you alright?" A sly voice asked.

"No!" She mumbled. She began to cry again. Her palms lay against her face with her knees bent. "I was just committed!"

"I've been here for 4 years."

"4 years?" She asked.

"4 years."

"Where are you?"

A man appeared from the corner. He wore a white mask on the left side of his face. Her lifted his face parallel to her eyes.

"My name...... Is Erik."

"My name is-."

"Ariel. I know."

There was a long moment of silence.

"Her name was Christine." The man explained. "I was known as The Phantom of the Opera. Christine didn't love me the way I did her. She ran off with a man..... Named Raoul."

"I'm sorry." Ariel told him. She placed her hand on his shoulder. He stood, and he gazed into her eyes. His focus locked on hers. For a moment nothing happened, their world froze. His face grew closer. He ripped away his eyes. His lips pressed against Ariel's. She didn't dare pull away, but kissed back. He was demanding, yet passionate. His body pressed against hers. His arms traveled against her back. They slithered like a snake towards the neck. Erik released his grip on her lips, and placed his lips on her neck. He kissed the pressure point, and she jumped.

"Erik, that tickles." She exclaimed.

"Oh really?" He asked. He continued, but minutes later, his tongue traveled across her.

"Mmm." She groaned.

A man walked into Ariel and Erik's cell. He grabbed Ariel away from Erik. He pushed her on a chair. Her arms were trapped against the chair, and her legs were fastened against the legs. She looked around the room. She saw black and while tiles across the room. A chord ran across the ground of the room, and was plugged into the wall. There was a lever directly next to the plug. She could see the chord was connected to her chair, which was metal.

"Ariel. Do you know why you are here?"

"You all think I'm crazy."

"Yes, but we think we can help."

"How?! By locking me here? Do you expect me to be cooperative?"

"Eventually." He paced the room in a serpentine like shape. He placed his hand on the handle of the lever. "Do you still believe you're a mermaid?"

"Yes!" She said confidently.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry we have to do this to you."

"Where is she?!" Eric screamed at his councilor.

"She's crazy."

"No! She's not! She saved my life! Where did you put here?!" Eric was in rage.

"I sent her to an asylum."

"She was committed?!" Eric stormed to his car, and drove to the asylum.

Erik had his face pressed against a small window peeking into the room that Ariel was in.

"This is what would happen to you if you don't cooperate."

The man pulled the lever down. A shock traveled down the chord. Ariel was struck. Erik was watching. One tear fell down his face. Ariel shook and her eyes shut. The doctor unlocked from the chair. She fell to the ground.

Erik picked her up, and carried her to their cell.

Eric ran into the building, just as Erik turned a corner.

"Where is Ariel?" He asked.

"She is seeing no one."

"She'll see me." Erik started moving towards the man. He placed his hand on his chest.

"I'm sorry sir."

Erik laid Ariel down on a bed. He kissed her forehead. He sat back down in his corner.
