Far under the water, the kingdom of Atlantica held some of the most prestigious creatures. The kingdom was home for the seven princess, daughters of Athena and King Triton. The youngest was the most curious. Her name is Ariel.
Ariel was a beautiful girl, who befriended a young fish named Flounder. Ariel looked most like her mother. When her mother passed, she was very devastated. The youngest child had beautiful bright red hair. Her hair floats around when she swims with her sea-green colour tail. Ariel's eyes are the colour of seaweed. Her eyes are a light shade of green.
Ariel's six other sisters are different in a lot of ways. The eldest is named Attina. She is loyal to her younger sisters, and loves Ariel very much. Alana is a year younger than Attina. Alana is diva, who cares about her skin and appearance. Adella, on the other hand, is very different than Alana. Adella loves boys. Her sisters call her 'boy crazy.' Adella dreams of a man, and her biggest fear is she'll never be kissed. Aquata is the fourth daughter of King Triton and Queen Athena. Her favourite stuffed animal is a seahorse named Mr. Fuzzifinkles. Arista is the fifth daughter, and always borrows Aquata's stuff. Arista is loving and caring. The second to last daughter is Andrina. Andrina is 16 years old, a year older than Ariel. She loves gossiping and exploring. The youngest is Ariel. She is 15 years old, and she loves collecting things from the shore. She loves using her voice, even though it was once illegal.
One day, Ariel and Flounder swam around the sea looking for items from the human world. She stumbled across a ship. She swam through a port hole and found a chest in a corner. She studied the chest wondering how to open it. She heard whining, and she turned around and saw Flounder stuck in the port hole. "Flounder hurry up." Flounder pushed, and he was free. He caught up with Ariel. He noticed a dark shadow that swam across the ship.
"What's that?!" Flounder's voice was shaking and terrified.
"It's probably just a fish." Ariel calmed him.
"Yeah." Flounder reassured himself. "It's probably just a fish." Flounder whispered underneath his breath. Moments later Flounder was worrying again. "Ariel!"
"Flounder. Don't be such a guppy." She told him, and swam to the 2nd level of the ship. Then Flounder spotted something behind him. He turned around, and saw a big shape. The shape swam towards him, and Flounder swam away. "Ariel! Help me!" He shouted.
"Flounder." She said. She turned around and she saw Flounder being chased. "Oh my." She gasped. She grabbed Flounder's fin, with her bag of items in her hands, and she swam as fast as her tail could carry her. Luckily Ariel's cleverness let her escape from the shark.
"Ariel. What is that?" Ariel lifted a silver utensil out of her bag, and stared at it.
"I'm not sure Flounder. But I know someone who does."
Meanwhile at the palace, Ariel's sisters were displaying a performance for Atlantica. Ariel was the star, and she didn't show.
"Father. I'm sorry Ariel didn't show." Attina told her father. She placed her hand on his shoulder. "She'll be back."
"And when she does, she'll be in big trouble!" The king shouted. An hour after, Ariel swam with Flounder back home. She still had her bag of items from the ship.
"Ariel! Where have you been?!" Attina asked strictly.
"Um...." She said, and turned around. "I was swimming around the reef." She said.
"Excuse me?" Attina misunderstood.
"You skipped one of the most important days for a swim on the reef?!"
"I'm sorry Attina."
"Oh! Where there boys?" Adella chimed in.
"Haha. A few." Ariel replied.
"Ariel. Swimming is fine, but not when it is important ceremonies like today." Ariel was going to apologize again, but she heard Arista and Aquata fighting over Mr. Fizzifinkles.
"Arista, it's not ok to take Aquata's things." Attina turned around and told Arista.
"I just borrowed it." She smiled.
"But you borrowed it without asking." Attina said. Arista swam over to her bed, and grabbed Mr. Fizzifinkles and she placed it on Aquata's bed. She swam out of their bedroom, knowing she was wrong.
"Ariel-." Attina started.
"Attina. I'm sorry." Ariel interrupted and she followed in Arista's trail. She swam out of their bedroom and met up with Flounder. Ariel swam to a secret location, somewhere her father didn't know existed. She removed the rock from the entrance and swam through.
