Austin's POV~
After I had put Ally to bed, I fed Harmony and Dez took Beth out for Starbucks. I had a couple of the dancers come over before the concert tonight, Ally invited Clancy and her husband. When they arrived I ran up to wake Ally.
She followed me down the stairs and gave Clancy a hug. I noticed a boy, who looked about 9, clinging onto Clancy.
"Hey Clancy."
"Hey Guys, This is my husband Brian and my uh.. son Jex."
"You never mentioned you had a son! Hey Jex, how are you. I'm afraid we don't have any other big boys here for you to play with, except my daughter Harmony but she is only two months old. Do you want to play with Austin's Xbox?" Ally had bent down and was talking to Jex at eye level. He nodded his head and Ally took him off to the games room/ Play Room.
I brought his parents into the sitting room and handed them a drink.
" So how is the little Princess? "
"She is good, growing fast. She's in her playpen actually. I'll go get her." I walked into the porch to retrieve her and carried her back into Clancy.
"OH MY GOODNESS, SHE IS TOO CUTE."
"She is a bit. Isn't she." Ally laughed as she sat beside Clancy on the couch. " You never told me you had a son!"
"Well I had him when I was 16, I'm 25 now. That's why I usually get put in charge of teenagers in the hospital."
The two girls began to natter away about babies and uteruses. I turned to Brian.
"So Brian, are you into music?"
"I am actually, I play drums and a little guitar."
"No way, I do too. My drummer is outside actually. Come outside and I'll introduce you."
Brian followed me outside and I called Dylan over. " Hey Dylan, this is Brian. His wife was Ally's midwife. He plays drums too."
"Aw no way man, what set do you have?"
We continued to talk about music until everyone left to get ready for the concert. Clancy peeled Jex away from the XBox eventually.
Ally, Harmony and I headed to the venue soon after.
There was a note on the table in my dressing room, addressed to me.
Dear Austin,
I hoped and prayed I wouldn't have to write to you like this but I always knew it could happen. Anna's disease is very unpredictable because most sufferers just pass away in their sleep, theres no warning, no sickness before hand. Just a peaceful time, which was what happened to Anna last week.
Although, I rest easy knowing how happy Anna was, and that was thanks to you Austin. How many popstars would be surrounded by screaming fans but would take time out to talk to a girl in a wheelchair, not only that but you treated her like a princess. You gave her tickets and you gave her your jacket. Austin, more importantly, you gave her your time, that's something that not everyone can get. I really wanted to give your jacket back to you, but I just couldn't take it away from Anna. She loved it so so much.
I have raised Anna alone since she was 1, it's never been easy, and I'll never be able to describe the pain in my heart, which I don't think will ever lessen, but I feel blessed that Anna was such a happy girl and knew nothing about her passing, which was the best thing really.
I wanted to come and say all this to you personally but I just knew it would be too hard for me. As for the tickets, there was two other teenage girls at our hostel who love you. They have the tickets for tonight.
Thank You So So Much Austin, I wished you the best with your new beautiful family,
Julie Andrews { Anna's Mother }
I won't lie, I cried as I read the letter over and over again. It broke my heart that I wasn't going to meet her again. Ally sat with her head on my shoulder, rubbing my back.
"Austin, 5 minutes" My stage director called. I stood up and hugged Ally.
"So will you come on stage later?"
"Of course Austin, good luck out there. You always do great."
I walked to the east entrance and got ready for the performance.
"ARE YOU READY MIAMI?"
The crowd erupted before I'd even set foot on stage. "Okay, but first I would like to dedicate every song I sing tonight to a very special girl named Anna, Anna lived with Young Teenage Death Disease for 14 years. She was supposed to be here tonight but sadly she can't be here in human form."
The band started playing and I jumped out on stage and played a few chords on my guitar. Even though I love being home, I miss preforming.
"Okay everyone, you have been a great crowd tonight. For my last song, I want to bring out 2 very beautiful girls."I walked to the side of the stage and took Ally's hand and led her and Harmony on stage. Everyone awed at Harmony, I took her and carried her up to the edge of the stage.
"Tonight I'm going to sing a song that Ally wrote for me about 2 years ago. It's a very very special song for me and it's called, I think About You."
After I'd sung, the crowed roared, Ally had tears in her eyes and I kissed her in front of everyone.
"THANK YOU MIAMI, YOU'VE BEEN A GREAT CROWD TONIGHT." I ran off stage, Harmony still cradled into my arm. We went into my dressing room and I packed up all my outfits.
"We better get this little one to her cot."
We walked out and got in Austin's jeep.
"You were amazing tonight Austin."
"I know, I do rock." I grinned and She couldn't help but grin back. She shoved my shoulder as we turned into the drive.
"Austin, Look!" There was two people standing at out doorstep, the closer we got the more we realise that this was Dez and Beth.
I got out of the car, and Beth ran to Ally. "ALLY, I told my mom and she kicked me out." Ally held her in a tight hug. I went round and took Harmony out in her car seat and placed her beside Dez,
"Buddy, you okay?"
"They kicked me out too Austin, my own family. At least my parents sat and talked to us about it. Beth's mom just yelled at her and pushed her out the door." He actually began to cry on my shoulder.
"Austin, I...I've nowhere to go."
"Of course you do, you have right here. Your our best friend's Dez, you know our home is always welcome to you."
"Thank you so much Austin." He pulled me in for a tight hug, I know it's not that manly but that didn't matter right now. What matters is making sure our best friends are okay. We turned to look at Beth, she looked so drained and weak. God knows when she last slept.
Ally's POV
"Beth, come in here right away. " I walked Beth into the kitchen and got her a drink, Dez followed her in and Austin went to put Harmony into her crib. I went in and got the guest bedroom ready for them. I really wanted Beth to sleep, so I made it as comfortable as possible. Austin and I left them to talk in the kitchen and we went into the games room. Dez came in about half an hour later.
"Hey Guys, Beth fell asleep in my arms so I put her to bed."
"Okay, do you want to sit up for a while or go to bed?"
"I was just gonna sit up for a while."
"Well I'm going to bed now, you can sit up and talk to Mr Nocturnal over there." I kissed Austin. "I love you so much."
"Love you to the moon and back."
"Night Dez."
"Night Ally, Thank you so much." He hugged me as I went out. My life's only going to get more hard from here.
