Faith - An Auslly Story

Life Change

The number 2 means different things to different people. It could be your birthday, your age, the amount of people in your family, the amount of time you have been together with your partner or the amount of time it can take for your life to change, not for me though, 2 has a much simpler meaning. Like THE AMOUNT OF SLEEP I GOT LAST NIGHT.

The baby woke at 7 am, which according to Beth is good for a newborn. Clancy called at 7:30 to say that Ally wouldn't need to stay in today and I was free to collect her.

When I came downstairs, Beth and Dez were making pancakes.

"Hey Buddy, we made your favourite." For the first time ever I stuck my nose up at the pancakes, I feel so sick from my lack of sleep.

"Thanks guys, but I only slept two hours and I feel pretty sick to be honest, although Ally's nurse Clancy called and said Ally is being discharged this morning, but I have to make a meeting with Jimmy to beg for my job back.

I gave the baby a bottle and put her in her car seat.

"Ready to bring your mommy home? Hopefully we'll be able to give you a name then princess."

We drove to the hospital and I carried the car seat up to Ally's room where she was sitting on the bed waiting for me.

"Hey beautiful, you ready to come home."

"Yes I can't wait, how did you all get on with her?"

" Well she went to sleep about nine, then the three of us watched The Lion King, when it was over I brought Beth into the guest bedroom, then me and Dez stayed up and had a beer, before I knew it, it was 3am. When I got up to bed, princess here woke up from 3 to 5, then woke up again at 7. I'm exhausted."

"Aw Austin, you did great. You can go home and have a nap now."

" I'm afraid I have to go for a meeting with Starr Records, apparently it's against contract to ditch a promotional performance or something. "

"Oh no, I'm sure it'll be fine. Jimmy loves you. Oh Austin, I thought of some names."

"Go on."

"Chloe?"

"She doesn't look like a Chloe."

" Belle "

" That's adorable but um Dez has a dog calles Belle.."

"Oh thats where I got the name from... What about Harmony?"

"Harmony?" I repeated and thought about it. " I love it, she looks like a Harmony and everything."

" What about a middle name?"

"What was your great grandmother called?

" Anna. "

"No way, so was mine!"

"Harmony Anna Moon."

"Hello Harmony, I'm your momma."

I push Ally out to the car and she holds the car seat on her lap.

"I'm sorry I have to rush off Als."

"Don't worry about it, but come home afterwards. I want you to have a nap."

I pulled into our driveway and carried Harmony into the house, Ally sat down on the couch and I put Harmony on her lap and handed her a bottle. Beth and Dez were out playing in the pool, I stood at the door and shouted " Hey guys, Ally is in there with Harmony Anna Moon." They both jumped out of the pool and ran into the living room. I kissed Ally on the cheek and left. I really hope this meeting goes well.

Starr Records ~

I walked in and Megan the receptionist buzzed me straight through. I walked into the office and Jimmy looks furious.

"AUSTIN DO YOU REALISE HOW EMBARRASSING SATURDAY NIGHT WAS FOR ME?"

"Jimmy my girlfriend was in labour.."

"Thats the other thing, you should have made a public statement about becoming a dad, have you looked at you fansite recently? Even your premium fans are annoyed."

"Well I was going to release a picture today."

"Well do then, now back to Saturday night. Austin, you CANNOT do that."

" I know Jimmy, I'm sorry."

" Austin, I have a set a three week tour. 19 venues, 20 concerts. It's not optional, you have to make it up to these people. "

"JIMMY, I can't leave now. Harmony is only a newborn, what am I supposed to do? "

"Bring her with you?"

"What about school?"

"There will be a daily tutor for you and Ally."

"I'll have to go home and talk to Ally."

"You can talk to her about her going, but Austin you don't have a choice."

"Yeah.. Well we'll see about that."

"IT'S NOT OPTIONAL AUSTIN." He shouted as I walked out of the room.

I got in the car and put my head in my hands. God I hope Ally agrees to come.
