All you could do is sit on your knees and stare down at the clothing in shock. Jig was taking it a whole lot worse than you.
"NO! THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!" she shrieked, shaking as she sobbed. Jig wasn't a crier, so you tried your best to be comforting as she bawled. You wrapped your hands around her small form, hugging her softly.
The barrier holding your tears back unleashed, and you cried as well. You hated the fact that your last conversation ended on bad terms, and you wanted so badly to take it back.
"Ah hell..." you said, picking the garments up off the floor and handing them to Jig.
"Take it. He would've wanted you to have them."
Jig looked up at you as she wiped her eyes. "Thank you."
You stood up, Jig and Sunstone's clothes in hand, and you traveled back to Rouxls's place. The blue man seemed excited to see you, until he saw you and Jig's expressions.
"What hast happened?"
"None of your buisiness," you snapped at him. You felt bad about about doing that, but you wanted to mourn alone at this point. You opened the door and flopped into your room, being careful to not squish Jig.
"God....what are going to do? As mean as he was sometimes, he was our best friend."
Jig shrugged, wrapping the scarf she wore around her neck. "Music helped me feel better when my mama passed, but where are we going to get music around here?"
You remembered a song you knew. Singing wasn't your thing, but you knew it would help her.
"I know a song," you told her.
"Then tell me it," she murmured, sitting between your legs.
You cleared your throat and began.
"Often, I am upset that I cannot fall in love but I guess this avoids the stress of falling out of it. "
"Are you tired of me yet? I'm a little sick right now but I swear, when I'm ready I will fly us out of here."
Jig seemed to break up a little bit as you sang the lines. You assumed it was because of how close to home it hit.
"I'll cut my hair."
"To make you stare."
"I'll hide my chest and I'll figure out a way to get us out of here."
You started to sob a little bit as the song seemed to shoot a gun through your heart.
"Turn off your porcelain face, I can't really think right now in this place."
"There's too many colors to drive all of us insane."
You glanced at Sunstone's mittens. "Are you dead? Sometimes I think I'm dead."
"Cause I can feel ghosts and ghouls.....wrapping....my...head..." you trailed off, crying a lot harder than you wanted to. Sometimes you wanted to see ghosts, not only because of your brother who had died years prior, but because you now wanted to see your friend again.
As you straightened your posture, you wiped your eyes. "That's all I can do for you. Sorry."
Jig shook her head. "No, it was great. I feel a little bit better now. Thank you."
You smiled at her, and got to your feet. "I'm gonna go apologize to Rouxls. Do you want to come with me?" you asked, offering her a place in your hoodie. She nodded almost instantly, jumping in to your hoodie.
"Rouxls?" you called, looking around for him. You heard shuffling in his room, so you knocked on the door.
"Oh, worm? Hast you come to tell me what was on your mind?"
You sighed. Might as well.
"Yes," you said, walking in to his room.
You then proceeded to tell him all that had happened in the past hours.
