You sighed loudly, crashing into your bed sheets. That walk was exhausting, and to make matters worse Jig wouldn't stop laughing when you got home.

"It's not that funny! All he did was hold my hand," you told her, taking her out of your pocket and holding her in the air.

"Yeah, sure," she giggled, rolling onto her back somehow. "Tell that to the big bruise on the side of your neck."

"Hey!" you squeaked, shrugging your shoulder to hide the distasteful dark mark. "I tripped over a tree branch! I didn't do the... horizontal monster mash."

Jig laughed at this. "Ya sure?"

"Very! You were in my pocket the whole time, anyways!"

"Maybe. I couldn't see anything though, so there's no telling what you did."

You groaned. Winning a petty argument with Jig was impossible.

"Don't you dare come at me like that when you and Sunstone did the same damn thing."

Jig flushed brightly. "Too soon! And...how did you know?"

.....Well, near impossible.

Suddenly, a knock on the door was heard. "Come in!" You answered in unison.

A small, chubby child wandered into the room. His eyes seemed to be covered by a small spade. That must be Lancer, the child Rouxls had talked about on your walk.

"Is...lesser dad home?" he asked, nervously glancing at the both of you.

"Other room. Why do you need him?" Jig asked, hopping out of your grasp and walking over to the kid. Lancer glanced at her, then at me, and then at the ground.

"No reason," he lied, going to the other room. "Thank you!"

Jig flopped back onto the bed. "What was that about?"

You shrugged, rolling over onto your belly. "How would I know?"
