Sasha's POV

Romance is truly a beautiful thing it made me realise that true love means that even though people are separated, nothing changes between them. I was thankful to God for giving me a guy like Sam.

I skyped him almost every day at least for five minutes and even before I could bat an eyelid, I completed my schooling in the US.

“Hey did you get good grades in the final exams Sammy?”

“Don’t ask Sasha… I already got a lot of advices and scoldings for that”

“Why what happened? Don’t tell me you failed!”

“No I passed the exam…”

“Ok fine leave it then… what are you going to do now?”

“I’m planning to work somewhere and earn money Sasha”

“What…… you gotta be kidding me! You haven’t finished your college yet dammit”

“As you already know I have my mom alone and she is still not able to get over her divorce”

“Hmm you told me right…. Why did your father divorce her though?”

“He told me that Mom was cheating on him ….and well I went to her defense so he got angry and…”

“You are not sad right? I’m sorry”

“It’s fine Sasha….I worry over my mom though. She is in a pretty bad shape. My dad is a rich person and my mom totally depended on him. We all lived a lavish lifestyle but since he left, my mom is singing at bars and parties to earn and I can’t do anything to help her”

“You need any money Sammy? I can transfer to your account. I’m sure my parents won’t mind”

“No I’m fine. I’ll work and earn. If possible I will even earn so much that I can join some college somehow”

I was pretty upset over the things which he said. Going to work instead of college? And that too with so much of personal pressure?” I thought I should do something about it. I met my dad and told that I wished to go back to India for college studies.

“Hey princess you can join the best universities here and since people know me, you can easily get seats here”

“Please dada? I really want to be there. I have some reasons which I will tell you later”

“Did you tell your mom about it?”

“Tell me about what? Mr. Network Romeo?”

It was my mom. She entered the room and sat in front of me and dad. I told mom that I wanted to study in India. She started shouting as always and my dad did some tricks to cool her down.

“Shalini I think we need a break from our careers and focus on more important things in life. We have enough money for the rest of our lives so why don’t we build a house in India and meet some old friends. Spend some time with our loving daughter?”

My mom gave a gentle tap on dad's head and thought about what he had said and finally after sometime, plans were made and dates were fixed. I told Sam via Skype that I was returning back to India soon with my dad and mom.

Sam’s POV

“Please don’t cry mom! We’ll do this together somehow. Don’t get loans now. I have decided to go to work. I’m not planning to go to college”

“How could he do this to me?”

Mom started crying. Dad found out that my mom was having an affair with another person. I don’t know why my mom was doing that yet I can’t say anything to her now.

My mom lived a lavish lifestyle from childhood plus dad spoiler her with  money. She spent everything on dresses and jewels and also fought with her parents. Gosh what am I going to do now! As I was thinking about my unpredictable future, I saw a video call. It was Sasha!

“Hi Sammy… hey why do you look very dull today”

“Well as I said, mom got divorced and lots of things are going on. I don’t know what to do Sasha!”

I told all the troubles which I had and after seeing her face, I really felt better after all. I was thankful that she was my girlfriend. She always understood me and the best thing about her is that she was always there for me.

“Do you need any money? I can help you know”

“Well I don’t need money. I just need a keyboard so that I can perform and earn some.”

“What keyboard do you like?”

“Korg Kross.. It’s about 50k.. Not very costly but it’s like my dream keyboard”

“But how can I get you a Keyboard from here sammy? You do one thing. You order it. I’ll transfer you the amount okay?”

“No…I’m working now at a mall every day so I earn like 6k a month. After three months, I would get the keyboard through emi so don’t worry Sasha dear”

“Hey can I call you later?”

“Yeah sure!”

I went to Prozone mall and started working in the KFC. As I was serving chicken, I got a call from Sasha. I rejected it. After I had finished serving all the chicken, I got a little free. I called Sasha in skype.

“Hey I was busy dear….tell me what’s up?”

“Are you working at prozone? This is the place where you used to hangout with Adrita right?”

“Yeah how do you know that?”

“Arey puppy! All details I know. I’m your girlfriend remember? I spam your profile daily”

“Paaruda!” (Look at her in a pun way of tamil)

“Hey I just called to tell you that I’ll be returning to India for my studies”

I was surprised yet so happy to know that Sasha was returning to India. I enquired and found out that she was going to visit me first and then decide on which place would be good for her studies. As I finished speaking with her, a girl came to place an order and to my horror, it was the very girl I really didn’t wanna meet again because I loved her previously.

“Adrita?”

“Sam is that you? What the…..”

As I looked at her, she suddenly slapped my left cheek hard all of a sudden. People who were standing in the counter gazed at me in surprise.
